Exceeds expectations- as usual

Finally got to take a trip with my new Roller Pro. Unfortunately, it was the best roller bag we had so everyone else got to use it moving throughout the airport and I was left with the one with janky wheels, or the other where the handle nearly breaks off if you put any weight in the case.
The storage capacity was enough for me to travel to San Diego for 5 days. I like the single deep pocket, although I did see some benefits of being able to distinctly separate items between two pockets as done by most traditional carry-on bags.
Didn’t use the front storage (laptop/etc) or inside sleeve storage as I have the Everyday backpack and Everyday Sling bag for the items I need immediate access to throughout the trip. I can see where this would be handy if you didn’t have any other PeakDesign gear - but then again who would do that to themselves.
Love this product like I love everything PeakDesign does.
And, when I did get to roll my RollerPro around, it was exceptionally smooth and felt incredibly sturdy.
Like I said to my wife when I was justifying this purchase - “it’ll be the last Roller bag I’ll ever have to buy.”

Worth the wait

Just received my bag from Kickstarter fullfillment, well it was worth the wait, it works for size, versatility and is just what i needed to retire my old eagle creek carry on. The workmanship, design and innovation is all that was decribed and more. Yes I know there was a lot of negativity about the time to fulfill but to be fair PD have been upfront and communicated often. I really think it has been worth the wait, as i have said to many Peak Design better by design.

Great bag - except the wheels
on October 15, 2025

I bought this a couple months ago, generally I'm a big fan of Peak gear and I have a bunch of their stuff. I'm a frequent traveler to the tune of millions of actual flight miles over the last 30 years of my career so my luggage is important to me in that it needs to be highly functional, durable, and should stay below the radar when I'm actually using it. If I notice something bothering me about it, that's not great.
So, I love the weight, the styling, and pockets and compartments. The drawbridge opening is pretty cool and I like how Peak did the low profile handlebar to render more usable space in the bag. The side handles on the bag top and sides are cool and have loosened up a little after a few trips. My only real ding on the bag: the wheels.
I've had eBags, TravelPro, Away, etc in the past and generally speaking their wheels have done the job well and stayed off my radar, they just work. I think the wheels on the Roller Pro are either slightly undersized or maybe the bearings aren't working well. It works great on hard flooring and outdoors like on sidewalks or hotel lobbies. It doesn't push effortlessly on carpeted floors at hotels/airports and any other situation where there's a little drag on the wheels. I find that the handlebar setup at full extension exacerbates the situation in the less-than-smooth flooring situations, it tends to push the bag over because the center of effort is too high when you have to exert extra effort on high drag floor surfaces. It works better of you lower the handlebar to its lower lock setting but it's still not what I would call super well balanced.
I lean more towards thinking the wheels are a bit undersized because it doesn't "curb hop" particularly capably relative to something like a TravelPro. For example going over structured thresholds at hotels or airports - the small bumps that you encounter going into and out of facilities or from sidewalk to street back to sidewalk. The bag tends to lose its balance in those situations which is why I think it's a wheel size issue.
Everything else about the bag has been great, I prefer it due to its capacity and how well it works with the rest of my Peak gear. If Peak revisits the wheel setup it'll be perfect.

The best carry-on roller I've ever used.

Got mine through an early Kickstarter pledge. It rolls great - silent on tiles and smooth on concrete and asphalt. Haven't tried it on gravel. It's weatherproof and sturdy, even when expanded. The grips on both sides and the top are handy for carrying the roller up the stairs or swinging it around to ward off assailants and wild animals. The front full-open style access allows for easy packing. The laptop sleeve and EDC pockets are very convenient when you are working on the go.
There's one thing I want Peak Design to do for me. Design a strap that I can attach to this roller, allowing me the option to use it as a backpack.
And to all those still unable to decide which roller to buy... a whisper of advice:

Best suitcase I've ever owned, with some caveats.

This is probably the perfect carry-on suitcase. Simultaneously light and smooth-feeling and heavily featured. I think one thing people miss about this one: the storage options and pockets start to eliminate the need for other carrying cases (e.g., tech pouches, laptop sleeve) in a way that barebones carry-ons (e.g., Away) don't.
There are some hiccups. The strings for the drawbridge opening frequently get caught in the zippers and it's difficult to adjust them on the fly. There's also an impulse, given the perfectly fitted camera cube that fills almost the entire suitcase, to think you could pack a carry-on's worth of stuff PLUS all your camera gear. It's not magical, so you can't.
One thing I'd like to see from Peak Design in the future is fitted camera cubes that take up a smaller portion of the suitcase's space (e.g., 50%) so that you could maximize camera storage in the allotted area without trading nearly all of your storage for clothes, etc.

This bag is ART. It is precision engineering pared with graceful aesthetics, and I’m obsessed with it. Touching and using the bag creates joy…what else can you ask for? It spins live a dancer, light and nimble. The layout is structured to hold everything you want, just where you want and can access it. It’s a travel dream, for short trips and for travel around town.

Carry on

All good except it would help if at the top in the middle I would have two hooks. It has hooks but at the end. It also would help if on the sides there could be water and cell phone holders, soft I guess so the size remains the same when water/cell are taken out

Fantastic luggage for two week vacation to Asia

I was late-ish to the Kickstarter and pledged the full price Roller Pro in Sage. Since I pledged the full price, I received my Roller Pro right away and in time for my two week vacation to Taiwan and Japan. The new luggage worked like a dream during my vacation.
On my way there, I was able to stow a laptop in the front, put a backpack in the main compartment, pack clothes, and take advantage of the various zippered inner pockets to store smaller items and currency. Also, I stored camera equipment in a small Camera Cube. It was great to have only have a single carry-on to start my vacation.
On the way back home, I expanded the roller to fit the various duty-free goodies I purchased during vacation in Taipei and Tokyo, and I used my backpack to store my laptop, making it two carry-ons on my way home. I loved the flexibility of the Roller Pro and was happy to have the capacity to bring back valuables using carry-ons.
