Excellent product. I especially liked the innovative opening hinge from the bottom front and the way it stays open making both the front and main compartments accessible.

I've been waiting for Peak Design to release a luggage line forever. When I saw the Kickstarter, it was a no brainer and I even splurged for the get it asap bundle just so I can bring it on our trip to Japan. The bag is sleek, with well thought out design and details only Peak diehard can appreciate! Its build is so solid Andi don't feel like I need to baby it! Can't wait to see the memories I create with this bag!

Picked this (and the XL Camera Cube) up as a late Kickstarter backer, not 100% sure if I'd really need it. Got it in, and was surprised at how lightweight and roomy it was, while still feeling like a few steps above most luggage I've had in the past.

It’s Worth Every Penny

I’m not going to lie. This is the most I’ve ever spent on any piece of luggage, let alone a carry-on. I was hesitant and held off. I just didn’t want to do it. Something told me to trust them. I have several other pd products and I love them. I bought it, and a week later I went on a cross-country flight, stayed a night in the city (without a car), and hopped on a cruise to Alaska. This bag exceeded all my expectations. Each part was thoughtfully designed and I fit so much more than my other well-known brand carry-on. Get the bag. It’s worth it. You won’t be disappointed.

Scratch proof. Buttery smooth rollers.

I was apprehensive to pay so much for a carry on bag, but here are some pros and cons, after testing the bag for a few months.
Pros
- i cannot stress enough how smooth and easy it is to roll. I’ve owned a lot of bags and this one is on a different level.
- the fabric exterior is scratch resistant. It seems to be made of similar material the other bags and pouches like their tech bag.
- so so many compartments. The best one is definitely the laptop slot. Super accessible. Very convenient.

Cons
- no built in lock. And the loops that are there for an external lock are made of fabric. This means it’s pointless to lock it because anyone can cut through the fabric very easily. This is what lost the review 1 star.
- extremely pricy. Even with the early bird discount. The only thing that finally made me decide to buy was their lifetime warranty. If this bag can last me 1-2 decades I’d say it’s money well spent.

Very smooth roller

It operates very smoothly even on carpeted surfaces. It was so smooth that I thought it needed a braking mechanism to prevent the roller from rolling away when idle.

As expected... great.. w/ improvements possible

Delivers on its promises. Never thought I'd care about how smooth a bag rolled or how stiff the handle was, but it did improve my travel experience. Drawbridge opening was GREAT for small spaces in Europe, and the quality of the bag held up for miles of rolling over cobble. I think I'd recommend perhaps making things a little "less" inside... there are lots of doodads and cords and things that give a feeling of clutter and complexity sometimes.

Amazing bag

Everything is almost perfect… it handles fast, but the zippers on the main pocket have already given out on me once from minor compression. They went back to normal but not giving confidence in their ability to hold up forever. Wish they would have put more money in the main zipper of the bag..
