I've returned it twice because my hair became tangled and broke massively while using it. The cord gets tangled up a lot, making it uncomfortable to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received the Dyson Airwrap a few weeks ago and I have found it to be quite helpful for bringing a soft, voluminous look. I’ve been use to the tighter curls from a curling iron and I haven’t achieved that with this but I really like the softer style I’m finding with this tool. Even when I use the straightening attachment I have tons more volume. There is a learning curve to it and it’s only been a few weeks but I appreciate it so far.
Dryer works well. But wave or curls do not hold long.

I bought this as a gift for a family member and did so because I personally have one of my own which I purchased shortly after they were initially released and was so impressed at its performance and benefits for my hair! At that time I had long hair that is fine in texture but have ALOT of it making it very thick and difficult to dry or style sometimes impossible. But with the Dyson machines, I have come upon a miracle! Owning every different hair tech machine offered to date witth exemption of the new Coanda 2X (which Im dieing to get my hands on to try), I can honestly say that whether you have long very unmanageable hair as I did before or shorter layered hair like I do now, the Airwrap i.d. Is the perfect combination offering the easiest, fastest, less experience requiring technology with a full line of wonderful attachments with remarkable ergonomics!
I want desperately to love this tool. it seems to be easy to use for drying and good for my hair but curling is a different story. There is a HUGE learning curve that I can say may never be mastered.
Too complicated to learn how to use. The video tutorials do not give the specific details needed. They are too general and oversimplify.

I like to personalize my Dyson box, & I try to chat online, but it doesn't help. I have to go by their option, which doesn't make sense for me. What I'm trying to ask is not even the option. Very disappointed. I have 2 Dysons but neither of them is personalised
