Expensive long term upkeep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this to cut down on daily llitter box maintenanc. Set-up is a quick process. The laminated cardboard trays are easy to use, but we found it only lasts about 2.5 to 3 weeks with my cat (his urine is very strong). Trays are expensive, making the upkeep a significant long-term investment. There is a metal tray you can purchase which I am interested in. However, the entire system tends to frustrate me. The 'poo' tray is too small for my cats needs and I find myself emptying the poo multiple times a week to check, when scooping would only take seconds longer. The scented litter doesn't prevent or mask the ammonia smell, unfortunately, and our litter box is in our loving room, so I find myself having to try and scoop the concentrated litter (which turns powdery once wet). A few times a month, my cat has a looser stool, which theb means I have to fully clean the metal rake. In theory, this is an awesome tool, but the reality is a little less awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far minimum maintenance on my end the litter box does most the work. No odor surprisingly. I love the blue litter so pretty….odd to say for being litter lol. Very quiet and sturdy. The two older cats took a bit to use it they still went in the old litter box. Our new kitten loved it immediately, although it played it in more than I would like he’s a messy fella lol.

Good product just might not be for everyone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of it but before you buy understand that you have to buy the crystal litter and there is a cardboard part underneath that your gonna have to replace so it’s really up to you guys to decide if it’s worth it for you to possibly pay extra money so that you don’t have to scoop.

Top of the line Self Cleaning Litter Box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Plus for free in exchange for my honest review. I’ve been wanting a self cleaning litter box for years, so I am so happy to have gotten this. As expected, I’m very impressed with how much easier this has made things for me. At first, it felt weird not attending to her litter box everyday, but not having to scoop everyday feels like a huge weight off my shoulders. I have so much extra time in the day now, and I don’t have to do that back breaking work anymore. The crystal litter really does a good job at keeping the smell barely there vs a regular litter box, which I noticed right away when I walked into the house after work in the first week. My cat took to it quickly, which was a relief because I wasn’t sure how she would do with the change. I love that the tray is super simple to swap out when it’s time to do so. I also love how modern it looks compared to my previous cheaper litter box. I recommend this to everyone with a cat!

Helpful but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This litter box does make life a bit easier since I don’t have to scoop as often, but it’s not perfect. It can be noisy, and sometimes it doesn’t catch everything, so I still end up doing some cleanup. The crystals are nice for odor control with cat urine as it doesn’t clump. Convenient overall, but not as hassle-free as I hoped.

Awesome

Worth a try if your cat already likes crystal litt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this product. I think the rake tines are too far apart to clean the box correctly. It’s not a terribly obnoxious noise level. However, my biggest problem is the litter itself. Not only is it a lot more expensive than traditional litter, my cats do not like it. Since this model litter box cannot be used with another litter type, it’s unusable unless you keep buying the litter they sell. Disappointed. However, if you already know your cat likes crystal litter, it’s worth a try.

Just Okay

I love the size, functions and concept but I find it to be lacking.
The litter gets everywhere, which I was constantly sweeping up...The machine pushes the waste to the other side of the box under a cardboard flap..This did not contain the odor or hold a lot...The replacement litter trays are expensive and would be costly with 3 cats using the box..
With a different design to contain the waste, this box would be great!
