Latte / Milk functions don't work.

Bought this 2 years ago.
We struggled to get the milk functions working. Can't do cappuccinos / lattes/ hot milk, etc.
barely works for cow's milk. doesn't work at all for any alternatives. Called Nespresso customer care line and was told this machine won't work for almond / oat milk, etc.
so basically, this is an expensive espresso maker. does the function of the cheapest one without the milk functions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review. We're dismayed to learn that the milk portion of your Gran Lattissima isn't working as expected. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you. Your milk frother creates froth from the protein and fat content of your milk. While 2% milk will create the best froth, you can still use this machine with almond, or oat milk. Your frothing results will heavily depend on the brand you choose. Almond Breeze almond milk and Oat milk work best for non-dairy options. Always shake your milk in the carton well, to emulsify the proteins that tend to coagulate at the bottom of the carton, before pouring milk into your device. Not shaking the milk carton first can cause poor froth results. Please kindly be advised that your machine comes with a lifetime of troubleshooting service. If this hasn't improved your froth results, please do not hesitate to contact us through our toll-free number, 800-562-1465. We are confident that we'll be able to come to a satisfactory resolution.

Don’t buy. Does not work like it’s supposed to

I’m so upset I spent this much money on something that just doesn’t work. I was looking at this and a cheaper model but decided “you get what you pay for” and ended up going with this one. I clean it thoroughly but still it does not froth the milk and I have read the manual many times. Do not buy.

SUCKS

The descale came on after 3 weeks and it won’t allow you to make a coffee until you descale it. You cannot make milk without making another coffee. So you cannot reheat milk. The machine automatically can start making a Ristetto before you have a chance to select what coffee you want. I have wasted more pods because of this machine. And it is ver yexoensive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really unimpressed with this machine. The milk frother dumps water into your drink before releasing any milk and the quality of foam is poor. We will stick with our Inissia and Barista.

I love this Machine

I've had this machine for several years, not sure how long. This is my 3rd machine and I absolutely love it! I have a cappuccino with an espresso shot every day. The milk frother give me a great hot steamed milk and froth. The espresso adds just the right of hit.
I have no. problems with this machine. I do clean the froth everyday, and descale when Im alerted to the need.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waste of Money

Absolute waste of money. Wanted to upgrade my old Nespresso machine (with the separate frother machine). Now I have this garbage that barely frothes, gives a watery milk product, and even the extraction of coffee itself tastes like water. Have tried all sorts of cleaning "remedies" with no luck. Ready to give up on Nespresso altogether.

Great Features . . . If Only They Worked!

I bought this 3 years ago and, because of the price, I live with it, reluctantly. Two years ago, I gave up on that clever milk-adding contraption and just make plain old coffee with this maker. Love the original pods, love the tastes, but my next machine will be BASIC
