Compact, perfect brew, a little noisy

This is my second Nespresso machine. I love how compact this one is, especially given how important utilization of my limited kitchen space is. This brews the perfect cup of coffee every time. As most reviews indicate, this is a noisier machine but totally worth the cup of coffee or shot of espresso at the end!

Bad quality of machines and overpriced

All nesspresso machines are pieces of junk. I could explain, I am user of different machines, and every time I ordered new because left over cofee. My last machine is leaking now and I try to fix it , clean it and it is still leaking. Very disappointed with overpriced Nespresso and very bad quality. In one word - Junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First Order Success

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first order after purchasing the Nespresso Vertuo. I went with recommendations from other online reviews. The Unforgettable Double Espresso, the Almond Croissant, and the Colombia. I’m not a fan of flavored coffees but the Almond Croissant was a home run! The espresso will be my new go to espresso choice. The Colombia is a great choice for an all around rich coffee.

Brew the perfect espresso or iced latte everytime

I enjoy the machine but space wise it takes up a lot of counter. The tank is fixed unlike the PLUSDeluxe. easily brews and reads pods using smart technology for the perfect cup. Coffee doesn’t brew as hot as the plus. Would purchase again but would look into a different model.

This state-of-the-art machine is designed to brew each blend to the specific programmed temperature that is best-suited to that blend, as defined by Nespresso Coffee Experts. Quality is very important to us, so the coffee brews to its ideal temperature without burning. Please bear in mind that added cold milk can decrease the temperature of the drink.
We have some tips to help prepare a hotter beverage to increase your overall enjoyment:
• Use hot water to preheat the cup to keep the coffee hotter longer.
• Make sure the size of cup you are using matches the size of the blend. A small espresso poured into a large mug, for example, will cool down very quickly.
• Clean the brew unit by following these steps: eject the capsule, close and lock the machine, and press the button 3 times rapidly. The cleaning process will take up to 5 minutes and will dispense water from the machine in stops and starts. We recommend doing this weekly for the best maintenance.
• Descale the machine. Scale build-up can interfere with proper heating and can also affect the taste and brew time of the coffee. We recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first.

Manual lid lever constantly Stuck!!

Do not buy the Virtuo Next! The lid lever gets stuck constantly!!! You have to be the hulk to even attempt to get it open. The manual lever is the most annoying thing about the machine. There is no rhyme or reason to when it will work or when it will get stuck. Don’t waste your money on this machine.

Coffee is amazing but the reservoir needs work

Amazing coffee choices, quick, easy to use. However I noticed my reservoir gets moldy. I wash it every other day now because of this. At first when I noticed a weird film at the bottom I thought interesting how long has that been there and I cleaned it with dawn. Then a few days later I check again and I noticed more of the bacterial film/mold showing. Of course the water smells like a funky mold smell as well. But for me I can’t wash this reservoir every day look at the mold and then try to make a latte afterwards. It just totally turns me off to wanting to make a coffee. I literally switched to instant powdered coffee now because I feel like there’s no reason for me to drink mold. I have had my machine for almost two years so maybe it’s just time to buy a newer one?

Thanks for your honest review, Lulu! We would recommend emptying out the capsule container after every use to avoid the buildup of mold. A closed environment high in moisture and temperature will also speed up the mold formation process. It’s recommended to clean your machine, or run a rinse cycle weekly with fresh water, and descale with Nespresso Descaling Solution every three months or 300 capsules. This helps remove mineral deposits that build up in your machine and effect the pour and flavor of your coffee.
