Beautiful ovens!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed these ovens. The built in operational features are great, although there is very little instruction on how to use them. Im a bit concerned about keeping them clean. We’ve haven’t cooked anything that we thought should have dropped but there is already a stain on the bottom of the top oven and I can’t remove it no matter what I do. Very frustrating.

One of the best decisions we ever made

It cooks so much better than our last oven. It is one of the best decisions we ever made and should have bought it a long time ago. So pleased with its look and performance, can’t wait to cook with it today.

27 inch double wall oven KOED727SPS needs work

I bought this oven in early January 2026. It is the 27 inch double wall oven KOED727SPS model. It took me several weeks before I was able to eliminate the burned something smell coming out. The trick was to run one full self cleaning cycle (3 hrs) on each oven. Many of my recipes require changing the cooking temperature throughout the baking/broiling processing. The menu does not allow midstream changes to the baking temperature, You have to cancel everything and start over for each phase. It would be useful to be able to modify the baking temperature after say 10 min and for the software to record the actual sequence including bake and broil changes. It would also be useful to be able to manually program a complete baking/broiling/cooling/warming program. It would be useful for the oven to display the actual oven temperatures even if they are averaged over 10 to 30 seconds. I don't like the broil temperature settings. I suggest allowing the settings for each of the three ranges to be settable by the user in Settings. Generally, I find the broil settings way too hot. The first few times I used the oven to bake, it took 18 minutes to reach 350F. This compares to 6 minutes in my 50 year old back-up oven. However, I discovered that if I warmed up the oven with 5 to 6 minutes of high broil, then the oven reached my desired baking temperature right after I switched to bake, You could exploit this to reach the baking temperature faster. I have used the warming and proofing functions. I have not used any convection functions yet. Generally, the time it takes to prepare the carb portion of our meals does not need the speed of the convection functions, However I could see using them in preparing meals for a large party. The beeper could be much louder. I would like a better Air fryer basket and rack, Frigidaire has exactly the design I want. The drippings fall through a hole in the rack to a pan(not provided) on the rack below. Hence there is no need to wash the upper rack. I do not know whether the Frigidaire Air Fry rack will fit in my oven. I do not own a microwave oven and never will.

Great features, if only it worked (brand new) !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it just about 1 month ago, and after it was installed, we turned on the circuit breaker, the clock appeared on the control panel, and the oven lights worked. Check !! But when we tried to preheat either (top or bottom) of the ovens, nada, just a couple of error codes (F1F5). Having registered our oven with KitchenAid, and signed up for an extended service plan, I contacted KitchenAid for a service call, and they set me up with a visit by DanMarc, their authorized provider in the NY/NJ area. The repairman put the oven through several tests and then declared that he could not repair it that day, and we needed three repair parts. He checked and said they were all on back order with no expected arrival date. To make us fee better (??), he said we should check back in with DanMarc in two weeks, as if they might be in stock by then. He also said that our model oven was fairly new, yet he did not remember these part EVER being in stock! Fast forward, we have been on the phone calling KitchenAid and Whirlpool (corporate parent) and spending countless hours on musical hold looking for an explanation from anyone. I finally found ANOTHER phone number for KitchenAid (answered as Whirlpool by phone robot) and after a short hold (about 40 minutes) I connected with Nikita, who sent us the full text of the KitchenAid warranty, and promised us an answer about our parts in 10 business days, which will be Monday, 3/30/26. Nothing yet, but we are holding our breath! I will happily submit a new review, once this repair issue is resolved.
