no turn table

Bought all KitchenAid appliances. This microwave has no turn table, meaning you have to keep opening the door to turn food. The clock and date keep saying "you have lost power" every other day. Does not cook popcorn or potatoes properly. The bottom of potatoes get hard. Air fryer leaves a huge mess on the bottom and takes a very very long time. Tried using it on Thanksgiving to cook corn bake, because it says it's an oven. It burnt the edges and the middle was liquid. I could go on. Very upset. Would love to exchange for a better version. Bought 3 year extended warranty. On the good side, it looks good in our kitchen. Thank you
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not much of a microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The air fryer and regular oven work fine, but as for the microwave... total disappointment. It does not cook evenly resulting in some parts burnt and some cold. We will continue to use the air fryer and regular oven, but we are purchasing a built-in microwave oven that is only a microwave. The upside is we will have 3 ovens for cooking plus a microwave.
As far as installation, the instructions are incorrect and you have to figure out the correct position of the holes on the wall. They should have provided actual measurements and not just rely on a template if it is incorrect.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We apologize for the concerns that you are experiencing with your Microwave and would like the opportunity to see if we can help.
Achieving the best results with your over-the-range microwave requires key techniques for even heating, moisture retention, and reduced spattering.
Proper Covering
Covering food is essential:
Retains Moisture: Traps steam, keeping food moist and tender.
Saves Time: Accelerates cooking by retaining heat and steam.
Reduces Spatter: Keeps the microwave cavity cleaner.
Recommended Materials: Cookware lids, wax paper, paper towels (for light spatter/absorbing moisture), or microwave-approved plastic wrap.
Crucial Note for Plastic Wrap: Always label-check for microwave use and vent it by turning back or puncturing one corner to release steam and prevent pressure buildup.
Condensation: Water droplets on the door and interior during heavy cooking are normal, caused by venting steam.
Even Heat Distribution: Stirring and Turning
Microwave energy heats unevenly (often more at the edges). To ensure uniform cooking:
Stirring: Move cooler food from the center toward the warmer edges, and hotter food from the edges toward the center.
Turning: Flip solid items (meat, casseroles) midway through the cycle for equal energy penetration.
Optimal Arrangement and Placement
The way food is placed affects even heating:
Irregular Sizes: Place thinner, smaller pieces toward the dish's center, and thicker, larger pieces toward the hotter edges.
Uniform Items (Ring Pattern): Arrange items (rolls, potatoes) in a ring, leaving the exact center empty, as the center can concentrate energy.
The Necessity of Piercing
Foods with natural skin or membranes (e.g., potatoes, egg yolks, hot dogs, squash) must be pierced with a fork or knife in several places before cooking. This creates vents, allowing internal steam to escape safely and preventing the food from bursting.
Allowing for Standing Time
Cooking continues after the timer ends; this is called standing time and is crucial for safety and quality.
Principle: Heat naturally conducts from the exterior inward, allowing the internal temperature to equalize and reach its final, safe level.
Duration: Follow recipe standing time recommendations; larger and denser foods require longer times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Follow the instructions not what you think how to use it and it will be awesome. The only feature I haven't tried yet is the broiler. The rest work great.
