Pretty, Functional, But Not Perfect!

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now (3/1/2024) and overall, I love the microwave, how flush it is, the options and features. The one continuous problem I'm seeing is that the clock doesn't hold the time, and has to be reset daily. This is irritating. When we as consumer choose to invest in/purchase certain products, brands, etc., the hope is that it will function properly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This microwave convection oven, owned for over a year, functions solely as a microwave due to consistent burning of all cooked items. The product, purchased for supplemental oven use, is highly disappointing. Thermometer readings significantly exceed set temperatures (e.g., 400°F instead of the set 325°F), indicating a need for calibration. However, calibration instructions are unavailable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave opens its door on its own. It does not pop popcorn leaving 1/3 of the kernels unpopped when using the popcorn setting despite an infrared sensor. It does not defrost meats despite the infrared censor. You have to rotate a plate when rewarming a dinner and even then the center does not warm properly. This was my 3rd microwave 2 Whirlpool and one Kitchenaid (all similar with additional features) and Whirlpool Corp is buying this one back. I am done with the brand despite having Washer, Dryer, Stove, and Fridge all from Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst microwave performance

Worst microwave performance. Presets do not cook the selected food. 1-1/2 cups of water not boiling after 18 minutes. Broiler works, air fryer works. Way too expensive.

Lots of features that barely work

We bought this microwave with a full kitchen suite and absolutely hate it. We love all our other appliances so much, but the microwave frustrates us daily. The “no turntable” simply means food will not cook or heat up evenly, for example, you cook a frozen burrito and one end is frozen the other is not, not a problem with ANY other normal turntable microwave. Then you have the problem that because the food stays still it takes longer to heat. Then the features that we originally bought it for like the oven and air fry work horribly compared to dedicated appliances.
This microwave can do everything, but it can’t do anything good. Only 2 months in and already trying to buy a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not reheat food correctly-Cannot pop popcorn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second unit! We replaced the first unit and had to replace it within 1 month. We were told that the computer board could be the issue, that is why we tried our luck and purchased the second unit. We upgraded to this unit which is more expensive than the first unit. It will not heat up food properly, it cannot pop popcorn properly. We have not used any other features, other than to re-heat food and popcorn. We have tried the Popcorn feature and a manual cook time for the popcorn. It takes approximately 6 minutes to make popcorn. When reheating food, the plateware gets extremely hot, but not the food. I have read other similar reviews with the same issue.
It is a beautiful Multifunction Over-the-Range Oven, it is such a shame it does not work. We also own a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, electric range, and French style Kitchen Aid refrigerator.
Does Kitchen Aid have a solution? Will Kitchen Aid recall these units?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed in Kmmf730 microwave performance

We have had and used our Kmmf730 microwave for about 2 weeks now and our very disappointed. We bought an entire suite of Kitchen Aide appliances, and the microwave is barely useable. It takes a very long time to cook and defrost food and it cooks and defrosts very unevenly. Compared to our GE microwave we had for about 12 years it is barely functional, and cost a lot. In addition, the instructions to operate are difficult to find and understand and it is even very hard to set the time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great All in One

Wanted a flush mount when re-doing the kitchen cabinets, liked that this appliance was all in one with a toaster and air fryer. we've had it installed for 2 months and are very happy with it. Love not having the other items on the counter. Was worried about the size of the interior, so far it has not been an issue. It takes some getting use to the interior sensors, items that would have boiled over or exploded in our old microwave, just take a little more time to warm. Easy to install, and we rotated the fan motor to vent outside, THE BEST VENT FAN I'VE EVER SEEN.
Hope the appliance is durable enough to last a good long time.
