I bought this kettle 2 years ago and it was great until recently. The on and off switch (light) won’t stay on long enough for the water boil. The light keeps turning off while it is still in the on position.

Plastic flavored water

We've had this kettle for less than year. Plastic compounds are apparenty leaching into the water and have been from the start. Water tastes terrible. The single star is for the pleasent bell that sounds when it turns off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear of your experience. The only plastics in this kettle is the BPA-free plastic used in the window an around the lid. The kettle would never get hot enough to cause the plastic to become soluble. Tea kettle soft plastic lid cracked

This tea kettle would be perfect if it didn’t have a defective lid. The plastic has cracked in multiple places. It will harbor germs that will drip back into the kettle due to condensation. I can’t find a place to purchase a new lid. For such an expensive tea kettle, you should have replacement lids on your site. I liked everything else about the kettle. Unfortunately I had to purchase a new kettle - a different brand - as a replacement (with no plastic or glass).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
