[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have install close to a half a dozen dishwashers over the years but this one was the most easy one yet. All the connections are up front. You don't need to flip the dishwasher on its side or pre install any of the hoses or the cable.Water onnector is similar to the ones washers use, the hose end connector that most Americans are familiar with, as was I. Electrical uses standard Romex connector and S O cable. Easy peasy. And when you're done, it's super quiet even in a modern home with an open form layout. And dishes, especially plastic, come out perfectly clean and dry after the door opens automatically.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 weeks ago, I searched and read reviews of top 4-5 dish washers, i went with kitchen aid because it had the least amount of repairs I Love it so much my dishes are always spotless, so quiet you cant even hear it run, its much better than my last dishwasher!!! thank you kitchen aid, highly recommend this dish washer
Absolutely the best dishwasher we have had and absolutely the worst owner's manual I have ever seen. The dishwasher is worth every penny. The manual is worthless
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1st couple of run thus is left some soap pods residue on the inside an upside down plastic container on the middle rack.(cascade platinum plus pod) Getting use to the 3rd rack. the utensil rack limits the pot and pans for the lower level. We had a whirlpool with a rack on the door.(nice, but we'll just the top rack whenever possible) THIS THING IS SUPER QUIET. I like that the door opens when done. the main door needs a little effort to open and close. ok I wish the was a Senor Light on the panel to show that the door if fully closed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bottom rack is flimsy and often pulls off track when loading dishes. Afraid weight on dishes is too much for front door to hold. I imagine the hinges will eventually fail. Pre-rinsed dishes do not clean on normal cycle. Normal cycle very long to complete. Does not have traditional expected kitchenaid quality. Maybe made by a cheap subcontractor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This guide provides simple solutions for common dishwasher problems involving water, cleaning agents, and proper usage. I. Water Flow Good cleaning requires proper water flow. Check this first if the dishes are dirty or the cycles stop. Water Valve: Ensure the main water valve is fully open. Partial closure reduces pressure/volume. Pressure: Home water pressure needs to be 20–120 psi. Safety Systems: Check that flood safety devices or shut-off valves haven't tripped. Whirlpool Leak System: If the system detects a leak, it drains the tub and flashes a light. Find and fix the leak source. II. Chemistry: Detergent, Rinse Aid, and Heat Perfect results come from the right mix of heat and chemicals. Rinse Aid is Essential: Keep the dispenser full! It improves drying by preventing droplets and fights hard water deposits (spots, film, etching). Use Heat: Use a high-temperature option (like Sani-Rinse) for better grease removal, sanitation, and detergent performance. Detergent Tips: Quality matters. Use Tablets: We recommend high-quality, pre-measured tablets/packs in the main dispenser; they outperform most powders/gels. Detergent ONLY: Do NOT use hand dish soap. Suds will cause leaks and stop cleaning. Wait for the suds to vanish before running the machine. Keep it Fresh: Use fresh (non-clumpy) detergent added just before the cycle. Hard Water Fix: For very hard water (15+ grains/gallon), install a water softener to eliminate scale and white film. III. Loading and Cleaning Proper loading ensures full coverage, and cleaning prevents buildup. Load Smart: Do not overload. Overcrowding blocks the spray and prevents proper rinsing/drying. Angle Inward: Face bowls/plates toward the center for better spray coverage and drainage. Plastics on Top: Place plastics on the top or third rack to prevent melting and blocking the spray arms. Keep off the lower rack. Clean the Machine: Regularly clean the interior to remove scale and residue that causes cloudy glassware. Cleaner: Use affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner tablets. DIY: Run an empty cycle with a small bowl of white vinegar on the lower rack to break down scale/gunk. Great at cleaning, could use some rack improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cleaning process is great and it is a very quiet machine but the rack designs could use some improvement. The dividers on the third rack for silverware could be a little taller, the silverware sets a a 45 degree angle in the slots but as you open and close the drawer they tend to tip over or fall out of the dividers. The second rack dividers could be a little closer together, maybe it's made for larger dishes but the regular size bowls tend to lay somewhat flat in the racks. I'll never understand why these companies don't turn the bottom rack, when you stack plates in, and close it, the plates roll out of the spacers. Also, with the 3rd rack, they could have eliminated the silverware tray on the bottom, added more dividers, and had more room for large items. It is a good quality dishwasher but I wish I would have known about these things and possibly looked at other brands.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So quiet I can only tell it's on when the detergent tab thumps! It opens itself so we can SEE it's done, and the clean light stays on until it's closed again, so hubby doesn't have to ask me if it's clean! Something very satisfying about orderly utensils on a rack instead of utensil basket barf -- but the basket came too just in case. Also, most importantly, no more prewashing. This thing actually cleans like advertised!
