Buyer Beware - rust

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very nice dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher does a good job cleaning and drying everything. I really don't have any complaints except, the beeping noise it makes drives my dog crazy because it's so high-pitched, but that doesn't happen for long. It is very quiet while it is running.

bottom rack is not set up that great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ultra quiet. Bottom rack is completely dysfunctional and not as functional or useful as I would have hoped. There is a weird wide open gap in the center that takes away room for more plates.

Cleaning could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher is quiet. The problem I have with it is it just doesn’t get some baked on or dried on foods off. This is the second kitchen aid dishwasher we’ve had and that was the reason we chose this one. Not sure it is buy another one but I will say that if we rinse the dishes it really helps. I think that defeats the whole purpose of the dishwasher. I also don’t like the generic bottom rack. If all I had were dinner plates or saucers it would be okay but I also have bowls and to maximize space I end of using more space. When it is done drying the door pops open. Nice feature. It does seem to dry nicely, except for the plastic things but they don’t dry on any dishwasher from my past experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great dishwasher (as usual for Kitchenaid)

They are also very reliable and, if you have soft water, they do an awesome job of cleaning....every time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in mid August, within 2 weeks, the pod dispenser door wouldn’t open. This past week we called a reputable appliance repair service personnel who states he was going to order a new dispenser. We took out the extended warranty so hopefully we aren’t stuck with a huge bill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs an instruction manual

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the dishwasher. The door opens when the cycle is done. I wish I had a manual that would show me how to turn that feature off. I also would like to know how to turn on different options that the dishwasher has. I only know how to turn it on and nothing else. Some people need a hands on manual not the internet.

Poor Functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A horrible pain to load. Silverware rack in top is poorly designed. Does not hold much, and what you load in there bounces around and out every time you close the door. Bottom rack not much better. Spacing of supports does not hold things in place. Bottom rack also rolls back in out of control, slams the back wall and everything bounces out of the poorly designed rack supports. I have had lower priced dishwashers that work better and are adjustable. The "Normal" cycle is very long, almost three hours. It does seem to clean well, but I hate using it. Could be a KitchenAid thing, as this Review form is far from intuitive to use as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
