Gets dishes really clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This may sound silly, but my new machine really works. My dishes come out nice and clean. I replaced an old Samsung dishwasher that had great reviews after a few years of use. My dishes used to come out dirtier than when I put them in. Uck!!
My dishes are now coming out really clean and I don't need to check every dish. The machine is also really quite.

Quiet is the best thing I can say.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how quiet it is--that is the best feature. Otherwise, a knife did not get clean on one side. It is hard to put the glasses in the rack with all the extra plastic pieces in the way. The other issues are water related: we've had to add a rinse aid due to the film on the glasses and glass bowls. The Finish brand detergent is causing runny nose issues with my husband (we will be trying a different brand). Anyway, we are not entirely pleased with the new dishwasher. Also, no instruction manual came with the dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Water Supply: Ensure the water supply valve is completely open for proper washing and rinsing.
Flood Prevention Device: Verify that any anti-flood or flood-prevention devices are correctly installed to allow water flow. Some KitchenAid models have a Leak Detection System that will flash a light and drain water if a leak is found.
Rinse Aid: Use liquid rinse aid to optimize drying performance and help control hard water deposits.
High-Temperature Wash: Consider using the high-temperature wash option for improved cleaning, especially with tough, baked-on food. The water pressure should be 20 to 120 psi.
Proper Loading:
Do not overload the dishwasher; ensure space for water and detergent.
Load items at an angle, pointing toward the spray arms, to help with water runoff and drying.
Load plastic cups, bowls, and mugs in the third-level rack (if available) for best drying and to prevent deformation. Do not put plastic items on the lower rack.
Detergent: Use automatic dishwasher detergent only. High-quality pre-measured tablets and packs are recommended to reduce white film, and they should be placed in the main compartment.
Hard Water: A water softener is recommended if you have extremely hard water (15 grains per U.S. gallon or more) to prevent damage and achieve good results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both of my adult children have the earlier model of this dishwasher and when it was time to replace mine, I hardly looked at any other models. My kids and grandkids work a dishwasher HARD and I figured if it could withstand their families, it could certainly hold up to my husband and myself. The racks are amazingly easy to load, there are so many choices for cycles, and after a month I haven't taken one thing out, after a wash cycle, that wasn't spotless and sanitized. Overall rating so far, GREAT!
