Cleans Well but Has Safety Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I generally like my Kitchenaid dishwasher as it cleans my dishes quite well plus it gives lots of options for the cleaning process. It is convenient to have the door automatically pop open when the cycle is done. However, I deducted two stars because I do not like the design as it creates safety issues. The door opens up almost to the floor because it has 3 levels of of sliding compartments to hold various types of dishes. However, I am finding the lower door to be a constant safety issue because I have tripped over the open door several times when emptying the dishwasher. It is too low and also the finished edges of some of the door parts are sharp and have cut my skin. At this point I would prefer having only two levels with a door that doesn’t open so close to the floor which creates a hazard when the door is open.

Kitchen Aid - Best choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned Kitchen Aid dishwashers since 1980s and have always found them to be reliable. With each new model, there has always been improved performance. I have to say my newest purchase is nearly silent it is so quiet. Dishes come out clean and dry, with little to no spotting. I like the third rack on the top for knives and smaller items. It holds a generous load and cleaning seems to be affective on both racks, not just the bottom.

We love our new dishwasher

Quality control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn't even get to run a load in the dishwasher. The water valve was froze open and the water inlet would not shut off. Had to shut the water off under the sink. This was not the low end of the KitchenAid. Had to wait another week to get the part. KitchenAid needs better quality control. Once the part was replaced the dishwasher works great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This machine is soo quiet that we have to check to see if it is running ! It is just the two of us, so we only use it every other day - large capacity for all our needs .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher holds a large amount of dishes and other items. This is the cleanest any of my items have been through owning 4 different dishwashers over the years. My last dishwasher had trouble getting items dry enough without us having to use towels to dry them after. The KitchenAid dishwasher gets items dry without making a large amount of noise. We've also had no issues with the drainage filtration. 5/5 so far after a month!
