I love my new dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher holds a lot because of the well designed top rack that has its own cleaning jets, unlike a top rack that we had in a prior dishwasher. It also has cleaned perfectly every dish we have put in it!

Quiet by 3rd rack not useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a leaking earlier model. It’s quiet and cleans alright, although not as well as the previous model. Some good particles have remained occasionally on dishwater; that never happened with the earlier model. Also, the new deeper third rack is not very useful at all because of the design of the rack on the left side. Some small bowls can fit there, but that’s about all. The trade off is lost height for glassware placed on the second rack; I’d rather have more space for taller objects in the second rack.

Unexpected Christmas Present

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this dishwasher just after Christmas. The installation instructions that came with the dishwasher lacked a lot! After finding the PDF online of the instruction manual (this was after we had installed the dishwasher) I could see steps we figured out on our own that were not in the paper instructions. Please send the COMPLETE instruction manual for installation - save the next guy a bunch of headaches! The clamps on the hoses are a pain - too difficult to pinch open and closed while trying to slide it in the correct position. So we changed those to the good old kind with the screw for tightening - much better and more secure. The insulation that goes around the unit was a pain to keep on while pushing the dishwasher into place - nothing some duct tape didn't fix. There has to be a better way with that. Overall, once we got the unit in and we tried it out; it did a great job washing the dishes. One thing I absolutely hate is the silverware caddy! I'm looking online to see if I can find something better. The random sized slots in no pattern is a pain when trying to put silverware in it. I have had too many forks and knives bounce out of the caddy because I didn't get the utensil in a big enough slot. Very frustrating. And when I took off the tops (with the silverware slots) it's just big open areas underneath - come on, there are better designs than this. There is a 3rd rack on top which I like but I wish there were more guards on the front of the rack so things wouldn't slide out so easily. I like the different levels of cleaning and I really like the ProMax Dry - works great! It's noisier than I thought it would be. It's not awful but you definitely know it's on. All in all it's a good unit - seems solid and I'm hoping it lasts a while!

Great dishwasher

The door is very stiff and i have to push it down to open enough to slide the bottom drawer out. This is really not a problem, better than the door falling open too quickly. So far I really like the dishwasher.

Excellent dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not buy any other brand than a KitchenAid dishwasher. My last KitchenAid was 24 years old when I replaced it. Still worked but was pretty worn. I bought this model which is one of the higher end ones and I am very, very happy with it. Even dries my plastic completely and is so quiet I have to look at the light to know it is on.
