[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a KitchenAid dishwasher for 31 years before purchasing this new one. Great features, quiet, cleans well. Even though our old one still worked, this new dishwasher was a worthwhile upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this model so far. Replaced similar model that lasted only 6.5 years. Like both similar and new features. Db rating is 44, similar to before, but seems a little louder. Overall, very pleased and looking forward to greater performance.

Can't see display, useless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dishwasher to replace our original 9 year old KitchenAid dishwasher after it broke hard. We would have preferred to replace it with a unit with a handle and front display to match our other KitchenAid appliances. However, KitchenAid has radically changed their handle design and the new handle does not match any or the older KitchenAid appliances. The "handless" design at least maintains a semi standard look throughout our Kitchen. This is also the worst part of the dishwasher. When the door is closed you cannot see ANY of the top display which shows time remaining and other information due to the countertop blocking it from above. This totally sucks but it was our only KitchenAid option if we wanted to stay with the brand and not replace every appliance in our Kitchen with matching units. As far as performance it is the same as other high end models. Our original KitchenAid dishwasher was much quieter even though this model is supposedly higher on the features and cost than the original model. Overall the 9 year old model was better than the new model, when it worked.

Fantastic so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My prior dishwasher was a kitchenaid and worked like a charm for 30 years so naturally, a kitchenaid was my choice. I loved my old machine but I have to say this machine is even better so far (2 months in). It’s very quiet and holds a lot! The distribution of the 3 racks is perfect and everything comes out clean. Even on the quick run cycle. I love the recessed handle, but getting used to the controls on the top edge is still a work in progress. 😂 if you are considering this machine, just do it! I think you will love it.

The noise is annoying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is almost a constant humming noise that the dishwasher makes while it’s washing. It’s very annoying, it’s not super loud but my 20 year old dishwasher was quieter than this one because of the humming/buzzing noise. I almost think it might be defective but I’ve read other re y with the same complaint. For a dishwasher that is suppose to be quiet it’s awfully noisy. I would not buy again.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We apologize for the concerns that you are experiencing with your Dishwasher. It is a completely normal part of the dishwasher's operational sound profile to hear a distinct, steady humming noise during a cycle. This particular sound is universally heard when the dishwasher drain pump is actively running. The drain pump engages periodically throughout the wash cycle to remove dirty water from the tub and prepare the unit for the next fill of clean water. The humming sound is simply the motor of this pump doing its job effectively. Post-Cycle Humming: The Role of the Drying Fan On numerous modern dishwasher models, it is also normal and expected to hear a lower, less intrusive humming or low fan noise that continues even after the wash and drying cycle has technically completed, and the "Clean" indicator light has illuminated. This is often the sound of a specialized fan motor. This fan system is a designed feature aimed at enhancing the overall drying performance and helping to manage residual heat and humidity inside the tub. Duration of Operation: This drying fan is engineered to run for a set period, typically lasting for approximately 50 minutes after the cycle has concluded and the "Clean" light is on. Purpose: The primary functions of this fan are: Air Movement: To provide additional, gentle air movement across the dishes, which aids significantly in the evaporation of moisture and improves drying results. Heat Removal: To facilitate the removal of residual heat and steam from the dishwasher interior, which can also contribute to condensation and poor drying if left stagnant. Therefore, the persistence of a soft humming noise after the cycle is a positive sign that your dishwasher's integrated drying system is functioning as intended, ensuring dishes are as dry as possible.
