Great for smoothies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really a great blender for making smoothies. It has so much more power then the one it replaced. The smoothies even taste so much better. It is set to turn off after 45 seconds, so there is no guess work. A great product. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for Christmas and I have made smoothies almost every day. It is such a strong blender and extremely easy to clean. I like it better than any blender I have ever had and I have had a few!

Very Powerful Blender Well Built

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this recently to replace a Cuisanart blender that broke. This Kitchenaid blender is so much more powerful and better constructed. Yes, as others have stated in reviews, it is loud but not as loud as the Cuisanart model I had. This Kitchenaid model is beautiful on my counter, easy to use and I can't wait to explore all the creative cooking opportunities it offers. I primarily bought this to make my morning smoothies but a waste not to go further.

getting to know my blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my big red blender in a timely fashion and machine was packaged and protected very well. Overall appearance and quality of my K400 has been superb.
I don't give 5 star reviews the first week I own something that would be dishonest and misleading. Truly reviews are for perspective purchasers and people researching various products.
I do have one slight issue that is probably a rookie mistake and just not used to the machine quite yet. When I use the preprogrammed button for smoothies the blender sometimes creates an air pocket and just spins without mixing the ingredients. I guess that is what the tamper is for, however I am slightly frustrated by this. If I wanted to tamp my ingredients I would have purchased a cheaper blender.
I am hoping with some experience and slight adjustments I will overcome this slight issue.
On a positive note and slightly off topic I have owned the same color KitchenAid Professional Mixer for about 10 years and will gladly give it a 5 star review. I have used that mixer to mix any and everything and it still runs like a champ!
I would recommend this to a friend!
