Uneven toasting

I have this toaster about 4 years not a lot of use a few times a week it drives my husband crazy because it does not toast evenly one side darker than the other crumb trays are clean and so is the inside of the toaster
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love our kitchenaid toaster!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went with the kitchenaid toaster because we have the stand mixer and love it. We use our toaster daily and I can say it does everything we want. Toasts perfectly. The longer, wide slots are nice for whatever size bread or bagels we are toasting. The bagel feature is AWESOME. We not only use it for bagels but we toast buns for our burgers. The buzzer let's us know when toast is done. Oh, it looks great on the counter to boot. I am happy I went with kitchenaid for our toaster!!!! Hoping to try more of their appliances in the future.

Burns toast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toaster based on the brand thinking it would be a nice one, but I’m disappointed because it burns the toast on the #1 setting. I have to watch it and pop it up before the cycle ends. Same I did on my cheaper version toaster. Thought this would be different, especially because of the high price I paid for it.

Great Toaster!

I purchased the 4-Slice Toaster on Thursday and it was delivered by UPS on Friday! I tried it today on English muffins (Shade 3) and they were perfect. I wanted a simple, easy to use toaster and this is it. It replaced a die-cast Breville that was very costly. It is attractive in design and is the same size as our old toaster and looks great on our granite counters.
I would recommend this to a friend!

KitchenAid can't even get a toaster right. Every single product they put out now is china-made trash. Concerning the 4-slice toaster: right side - one side of bread is toasted dark, the other side light. left side - top 3/4 of bread is toasted, bottom stays bread. Other than it not toasting properly it works great, smh.

Smell

Just purchased, my wife plugged in, and toasted 1 piece of bread. Toaster has gross metallic smell.. no exaggeration.. we could smell this from 40 feet away. We thought we had an electrical fire in our house. Pushed down levers and confirmed smell is coming from toaster.
