Great, attractive toaster!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a really positive experience with this toaster and particularly appreciated its compact size; it wasn’t oversized or heavy, fitting perfectly on my countertop and leaving ample space for other items like my breadbasket and fruit bowl, preventing a cluttered look. Initially, I struggled a bit to figure out how to operate it since I attempted to use it without consulting the manual (I tend to complicate things for myself) and made some assumptions about the buttons. After about ten minutes of frustration, I decided to read the straightforward manual, which helped me understand the functions almost immediately. I highly recommend checking the manual, as the variety of buttons can be a bit confusing at first. I also love the range of shade control options—it allows for light toasting on some days and a darker toast on others, making it perfect for different preferences. Cleaning the toaster is about as challenging as cleaning any toaster; while getting into the small corners can be tricky, it's manageable if you're accustomed to it. The buttons have various symbols, so if you’re new to toasters, those visuals along with the manual should help you get started easily. Of all the toasters I’ve owned, this one ranks as my second favorite—especially since there are times when I prefer using a toaster oven for pocket pita bread. Overall, I would definitely consider buying this as a gift for someone!

Don’t buy it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even when I put this on high, it will not brown my toast or English muffin. I have to push it back down every single time I use it. It’s ridiculous. I do not recommend this toaster..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This KitchenAid 4 slice toaster matches my stainless steel appliances in my kitchen perfectly, so it was a nice addition. I really like that the slots are big enough to put larger pieces of bread and even bagels in there. It toasts evenly and appreciate the two separate settings, so that 2 people can set to their own toast preference.

We loved the look of the toaster, heavy and well built. But when we toast our bread, the top is always darker that the bottom, although the crispness is all the way through the slice. Also, because the push down lever and the selection lever are close in proximity to each other and are similar in shape, we sometime push down the wrong lever.
