[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this one month ago and have had wonderful experience with it. Blends smoothies so well, ice, salsa and margaritas! So glad I bought! Great colors to choose from too. Super high quality, works as promised.

Great Soup Maker

So I've wanted a Vitamix for the longest time, but didn't have the money to spend of a Vitamix. I already own a Ninja Chef blender which is very powerful, but still there was something lacking that made me look into this Kitchenaid K400 series. I saw the video ads which just made it look appealing. I drove to my local William Sonoma which was the ONLY place that sold this blender unless I wanted to buy it online, but I wanted it quicker. After buying the last one they had which was silver, I play creating smoothies, but one day my ingredients heated up to a warm temperature but not hot, realizing it makes soups.
This product is very new, so I am giving my soup making methods. Because the variable speeds only last 3 minutes on each dial, if you continue turing the dial, the motor will continue running. It only stops if you rest if for 3 mintues on one speed. So I will put my vegetables in the jar, and start it on low, and bring it high for something close to 3 minutes, while bringing it low again, then let it rest on level 4 before shut off, and bring it back to level 5 for a while before shut off. I'm only testing it so I will check the temperature to see if I need to turn it back on again to heat up more. However with a small bit of work, a steaming rich soup is producted!

I threw a whole apple in there, a bunch of kale, flax seeds and other frozen fruit and veggies to test this bad boy out; it did not disappoint!! My smoothie came out so smooth and flavorful. I'm very much looking forward to five years of use with this!
