[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my blender a few weeks ago. My hubby loves salsa and it was a breeze to make it in my new blender. I love how I can fit all my ingredients and have no spills. It isn't as loud as my old one. And the color is a beauty.

review for K400 variable speed blender with tamper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad to have a standing blender again after 10 years. it has more power than the one I used to have. I like the power.
I tried making tomato's sauce from scratch- I don't have a recipe for a blender. some tomatoes, a medium slice of onion, carrot, 3-4 Tab water. later I put it in a pot and cooked for 10-15 min with seasoning. next time it will taste better. it needed more seasoning /& or some garlic. I've done smoothies and some other things. I've been afraid to do to much
because I lack specific instructions.
I have one major complaint. there is no info sent with the instructions that indicates what
# 1-5 would be used for. I almost burned out the motor. I tried to double a pancake recipe when that happened. it was a recipe that I had not used in over a year and it was a very thick recipe batter.
Yes, my K400 still works on all the settings- I checked it with water in it. You have a wonderful brand. I guess I need a cookbook specifically for this blender (K400)- I need to know not only the recipes to make in it, but I am always unsure how strong the motor is. its certainly is not one of the stronger blenders one sees advertised, but I have never uses those either.
its a great blender, it a person is not expecting, Blendtec, Ninja, or another blenders

Great Soup Maker

So I've wanted a Vitamix for the longest time, but didn't have the money to spend of a Vitamix. I already own a Ninja Chef blender which is very powerful, but still there was something lacking that made me look into this Kitchenaid K400 series. I saw the video ads which just made it look appealing. I drove to my local William Sonoma which was the ONLY place that sold this blender unless I wanted to buy it online, but I wanted it quicker. After buying the last one they had which was silver, I play creating smoothies, but one day my ingredients heated up to a warm temperature but not hot, realizing it makes soups.
This product is very new, so I am giving my soup making methods. Because the variable speeds only last 3 minutes on each dial, if you continue turing the dial, the motor will continue running. It only stops if you rest if for 3 mintues on one speed. So I will put my vegetables in the jar, and start it on low, and bring it high for something close to 3 minutes, while bringing it low again, then let it rest on level 4 before shut off, and bring it back to level 5 for a while before shut off. I'm only testing it so I will check the temperature to see if I need to turn it back on again to heat up more. However with a small bit of work, a steaming rich soup is producted!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought this almost a month ago, and I love it!! It’s a little loud, but that’s to be expected when blending ice! It is a great heavy duty mixer!
