Great features; easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this appliance about 2 weeks ago and have used it every day since. It is SO quiet. The blender has so many options and it is so easy to select the option you need. One of the best features is the self-cleaning feature. No more trying to get under the blades and perhaps nicking your fingers in the process. The cleaning gets to the lid and cleans it as well. The smoothies and shakes I have made are mixed perfectly. Great appliance--but what else would you expect from KitchenAid.

AWESOME BLENDER !!

I bought this Blender Last month ! This is an "AWESOME BLENDER" and which I had been waiting for ! The customer service is very nice! I wish to get 6 oz, 16 oz extra jar ! Don’t spend lots of money in other brands - I recommend to go for Kitchen Aid rightaway ! Please get this model # ksb4028BM ! I tell you, you won’t get disappointed!! Really wonderful and beautiful looking good blender!! I used last 15 years kitchenaid brand! I told my friend to buy this blender and they also bought Kitchen Aid Blender only !!! Again, I really appreciate customer service!!! Both the product and customer service are really worth for every penny Thanks to make wonderful products!!!!

It makes quick work out of oats, dates and all sorts of frozen things. Highly recommend this machine. I’m sure it can do other fancy things, but it’s a top notch smoothie maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tired of the loudness and shifting around of my Vitamix 5200! I barely used it and it got hot quickly, so I sold it!! I am so happy that I purchased my Kitchenaid K400! It has many different modes!! I can make a drink 10 at night and not wake up ppl!!im so happy I brought this! Now I need the 16 oz personal carry container! I have to save up for that also!!! Im just happy that I beought this blender! Thank you Kitchenaid for a top of the line blender on a buget!!!!

great when it works-but beware of motor oil smell

I bought this blender in 12/21 for use in my second home. After about a year, this gooey smelly oily stuff appeared at the bottom of the blender jar. I cleaned it and it kept happening, so I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one. Unfortunately after a little over a year (mind you we are only in this house 4-6 months a year and I only use this to make a single shake 4-5 times a week) the same thing happened again. I know it's out of warrantee now so I will get a second Vitamix (my first one is 10 years old going strong and is used much more frequently). It's too bad because this is an attractive and powerful blender when it works. I set it to shake, don't touch it and it blended well. I see I'm not the only one with this problem.
