The SMC1161KB is a nice basic countertop microwave. I found it heated significantly faster than my prior microwave even though it was rated at the same power. It is also relatively quiet. My only initial complaint was that the display was unusually bright.
Bought this vacuum for getting under bed and lightness of movement. Did both these things, price was good, only time will tell how durable it is, so far happy with choice!
Overall I like this microwave. It is very quiet which I love. It also cooks well. It takes up a bit too much counter space in my counterspace deprived kitchen but I'm adjusting. The most annoying aspect is the microwave door. You have to press zero for the door to open. There is a code you can put in to override this but on my microwave it only lasts for a short while and then you have to press zero again. For someone who lives alone this is an annoyance I could live without.
Great microwave for its size, value and ease of use. It fits well in the corner on my counter and still allows enough space in front for preparing the items going in it. I was able to disable the child lock since I don't have any young children in the house. It's simple to operate and I like the express cook and +30 second options. Unlike other microwaves, it's easy to read the numbers and other features to make selections.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality control - arrived with loose screws

The item arrived with loose screws on the keypad assembly - see pictures below. The oven works, and it is probably not worth the trouble to return for just this issue, but I am worried that other things are wrong that I cannot see if such an obvious problem got by quality control inspectors. Overall would not recommend due to this concerning lack of attention to detail in manufacturing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
