Great new oven!

I bought this GE Profile Micro/Convection oven to replace a 13-year old previous version of the same. (Old one still worked, just felt it was time to replace it!) This new oven has most of features of the old one but adds an air fryer! I do miss is the "warm" button for keeping cooked foods warm while finishing the rest of the meal. The only disappointment was with the lack of a decent operations manual. It was 3-weeks before I found the nightlight function! Overall, I am please with my new oven and hope it lasts as long as the previous one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Control Panel should have a back light but doesn't

The Control Panel does not have a light-so it is impossible to read it at night without the kitchen lights on and even with the kitchen overhead light on it is still hard to read the control panel. That was a real miss GE.
Besides that this is a very nice convection microwave.

The microwave part is great. Heats food evenly and quick.

The Real Truth

The unit is beautiful. The features are there. How to use them is not so clear or confusing. The manual won’t help you. Like Do Not have the metal touch the sides when using convection. It sparks and creates a non removable fire stain. Every time I use it I notice this stain. The unit is barely deep enough to hold the metal plates. Why not make the plate smaller or have grooves to prevent this? Turned a beautiful unit ugly. I mostly use the microwave.
