Display lacks essencial information

I regret to realize that the new device has a display lacking the absolute essential information about power level and if the time indicated is the first one or the second one. We use that feature all the time: Run for N-minutes on 10, continue 1-2 minutes on level 0. In this device there is no way to display these details. I consider this a bad design. Display has 7 digits, why not to use them? I tried to find out if we can adjust that in the settings, but there is no such option to activate display of power level with the remaining time. This is a shame, because otherwise the microwave makes a familiar impression, and is adding the air-fry functionality.

Updated to our new GE Profile Microwave

We are extremely happy with our latest kitchen addition with our new GE Profile Over-The-Range Microwave that replaced our old & battle tested GE Microwave. The door feels very solid and the installation of the unit was quick and easy, also feeling very solid with zero "wiggle" when opening. Capacity is excellent and honestly the biggest challenge, through no fault of GE, is getting used to the new controls and options that are available with this updated Microwave. Like anything it takes a little getting used to as we had our previous one for 5+ years (inherited when we bought the house). The venting of the unit is excellent and the overall heating is uniform and efficient.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An over all great microwave/ oven

Sleek look. I like that it’s not connected to WiFi in case of connection outages I can still use it. Easy to use functions. I love the option to use the oven for baking as well. I had the older version of this model for 19 years!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Profile Microwave Review

We had a previous Advantium Profile microwave for 18 years and it finally gave out. It was the perfect appliance in my opinion. The new Profile is not as functionally good as previous unit. I really liked the old dial and surrounding buttons on the old one. The new unit is also way more noisy. I am not satisfied with the current unit noise level when on high level. I will be calling for GE service to see if this unit is defective.

Good, but...

I have it only a few days. So far seems to work ok except for convective baking - does not keep temperatur and the two cakes I tried so far were ruined. Will try again, perhaps it was just a fluke.

We'd like to help out with the convection bake. For the best results, we recommend using metal pans. Shiny aluminum pans are better for cakes, cookies or muffins because they reflect heat and help produce a light tender crust. This is the third of this specific bottle microwave that I have owned. The first one lasted over 10 years. The second one lasted less than two years.
Hopefully, the third one that I just had installed will last as long as the first one. Time will tell.

Just what the Dr ordered.

This unit does not operate on the same wattage as my previous Profile unit. My older one was 20 years old & used 1,000 watts. This new one is operating on 900 watts. It does make a difference.
