Perfect in many ways for faster cooking!

As a recent purchase, this is my third GE convection microwave in 30yrs! I use them often and as parts fail and are no longer available I upgrade to the newest model because I continue to be completely satisfied with all the features. The current model includes an air fry mode and steam cleaning as additions to past features.
I convection bake perfect pies, combo cook side dishes, and use the defrost mode daily making this the most used appliance in my kitchen. With all features considered and balanced on my own needs, this over stove convection microwave combo oven is by far the greatest value remaining on the market today. And a bonus is that it's design still matches my other classic appliances. I did lots of research this time around when replacing my failing older model, and I still came back to GE for its value and abundant features.

Terrific Microwave, an Upgrade from our old one!

We needed a replacement for our old White Microwave that simply stopped heating. Kind of pointless at that point. Finding a White Microwave, to my dismay, was more difficult than I had ever imagined. This GE Unit fit the bill! We also splurged and got the unit that has both convection oven and air fryer capability. I must admit, I wasn't sure I would utilize the convection oven but I have! The air fryer, not so lucky. Still need to try that feature out! Overall, terrific Microwave.

Love it — for the third time!

I’m now on my third generation of this convection/microwave. To be fair, my choices of appliances is limited by my needs — microwave oven, convection oven and exhaust fan. However, even though I’m on my third one in 8 years, I continue to use it and love it every day. The first died after 2 years. The second lasted for 6. It gets a lot of use as does the range it sits above. We’ve had this one for a couple of months and, now that I’ve adjusted to the small changes that have been made, I’m as happy with it as I was with the other 2.
As an exhaust fan, it works great. It is a bit loud, though. The three speeds are good to have, although I barely use the two higher speeds. They’re louder and I don’t need them.
As a microwave, it’s fine. It’s a microwave. I do like and frequently use the reheat and defrost settings.
I love the convection function. Use it all the time. Helps to avoid heating up my large range oven. Does a great job. Especially love that it has a two-rack capacity, although the latest model only provides one rack. The second rack has been replaced by an air fry rack. If you have an older model like I did, keep your old racks!!!
As for the air fry setting, I’ve used it twice without much success. The manual mentions doing things like fried chicken which I don’t eat. Haven’t had much luck with air frying veg, but I’ll keep trying

Great size

Great size and look. Not as powerful as my old GE so it is taking some getting used to as far as cooking times. I really wish there were more instructions and some recipe guidelines included, you really have to figure out how to run it on your own.

So far the oven has meet our expectations.. The only negative is the lack storage of racks not being used.. They tend to clutter up the cabinet top when cooking.

Weird Microwave

The microwave is good except for one thing. You have to press the start button twice to activate the cook cycle. That makes no sense to me. I thought maybe it was to change the power level, but you still have to press the start button twice if you change the power setting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
