Product Works As Designed

We originally bought 2, yes 2 of the defective PVM9179SKSS. Both blew-up before leaving the store when using the convection oven setting. We didn't want to drill new holes in the cabinet, so we decided to give the new PVM9179SRSS a try. Well, surprise, the new RSS doesn't match the holes from the KSS. This is good and bad. Good because it is a complete redesign of a defective KSS, bad because now our cabinet looks like Swiss cheese. But, so far, after one month of heavy use, it's working flawlessly. Note of caution: use a heat shield on the back and top to prevent heat scorching your wall and cabinet. We are using this in an RV. It replaced a worn-out Frigidaire.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THIS MICROWAVE IS FANTASTIC IT HAS THE AIR FRYER FEATURE IN ADDITION TO THE BAKING AND ROASTING.ALL MY KITCHEN APPLIANCES ARE GE AND I HAD A PREVIOUS GE MWO MODEL WHICH I EXCHANGED FOR A NEWER VERSION NOW WITH THE ADDITION OF THE AIR FRYER.

We were tired of single use appliances and this totally helped us take care of having a toaster oven and air fryer. This creates more counterspace. Amazing!! Very happy with purchase. A must if you have kids who love snacks that require oven cooking.

Great Multifunction Oven

I am still learning about all the features. I love being able to bake without heating the large oven (and house). The microwave is used multiple times a day and heats as well as my previous 1500w. I love the mute feature! I haven't had a chance to try the air fry or combination cooking yet.
I had some confusion with picking the colors online from the photos and there weren't any appliances in stock to view locally. The black stainless to me in person now looks more bronze and matches my bronze fixtures perfectly! While I was waiting six months to get the microwave, I went ahead and changed my oven/range with the "black slate" which is actually dark grey with a bronze handle. I was a little disappointed but it all blends just fine. I am really pleased with my new GE appliances. Hopefully we will get back to "normal" soon...

Great looking product, some miner issues

An auto/sensor feature to melt butter/margarine would be nice. Had that in a previous unit.
The door mechanism is not smooth. On closing and opening it feels like the door can break at anly time.
The vent fan doesn't pull very well. I have checked the direction of the fan and it is correct. A google search indicates this has been an issue with other customers.
I would recommend this to a friend!
