Regarding the exhaust fan, there will not be a noticeable difference between low and medium speeds, there will be a slight difference between the low and high speed when operating normally. You can confirm the unit is changing speeds by shifting from high to low speed as quickly as possible by pressing the pads (once for high, twice for medium, and three times for low fan speed).
