Great microwave so far…

Great features, Reheats food and beverages fast. Have not tried the air fry feature yet, hopefully it will work as well as the other features. The only downside is that there is no number keypad. One has to use the dial knob to set the amount of time to cook, set clock, timer or any other setting that requires using 0-9. A # keypad would have been much more user friendly, hopefully future versions of this model will incorporate a number pad in addition to the awkward knob. This GE model #PBM9179BR1TS replaced a Samsung microwave that suddenly stopped working. This microwave was fairly easy to install and looks great with my other black stainless steel appliances. Hopefully we will get many years of use out of this GE, I guess only time will tell.

So far I have been fairly happy with my new microwave unit. My only big complaint is that they no longer put a manual in with your unit. The controls are much different from my former units that it is not easy to use many of the functions that are available. I tried to go on line to get one, but that was a real pain in the axx. You should be able to request one that could be mailed to people that want one. When you in your 80s, on line requests are not always easy.

I like the look, The light inside is so much nicer than my old GE Profile. My only complaint is the button are hard for me to push. It takes a good touch for the unit to respond.

What an upgrade!

I've had a multi-purpose micro-convection oven for many years - Kenmore and Kenmore Elite - last one was an over-the-range model which this one replaced.
It now has far more control and cooking options, adding an air fryer as well. So, along with dual-level stovetop lighting and either exterior or interior venting, this new oven does it all. The oven can communicate via Bluetooth with a similarly equipped stovetop. The beauty of this unit was that it was a direct replacement for the Kenmore Elite it replaced and fit the original mounts perfectly for a 1/2 hr install time. I did add an AC line surge and spike protector for the unit to plug into, necessary from past experience with rural power (anything with a "motherboard" controller can benefit).

Air fryer part real slow takes almost twice as long as a countertop airfryer. Besides that at this point in time satisfied
