Hello. I received this review request from you regarding the Control Grip Immersion Blender I recently purchased from you, Instead I would like to review a different Breville product I previously bought which ended up being a letdown. it's the Breville Crystal Clear Kettle BKE595XL. it was working fine, but one day I realized my coffee tasted strange so I let some of the remaining boiled water in the Kettle cool and I tasted it on its own and it tasted bad- like plastic/chemicals. Needless to say I no longer use it. I cannot trust it thinking it may be leeching chemicals from the plastic into the water in spite of stating it is BPA-free. This was my main concern when shopping for an electric Kettle, that the water remained pure. I assumed yours with the BPA-free statement would be high-enough quality to keep the water safe. Now it just sits in my cupboard. I suppose I should throw it away but I feel bad since it wasn't cheap. I also have a Breville juicer which seems to work fine. I have not had the immersion blender long enough to be able to review it properly but I am being forced to choose a star rating in order to submit this review of the Kettle. Have other people complained about the kettle leeching chemicals into the water? I very much hope to get a response. Thank you, John R

The Control Grip mixer itself is great so far. But the unavoidable assortment of gadgets that accompany it is unnecessarily wasteful. For those who want the bundled package; great. For those just seeking an immersion blender all the rest of the stuff goes to the back of the cabinet, or the landfill.
