Almost perfect except for one fatal flaw

We bought this several years ago and fell in love. It's powerful, comfortable to hold, and excels at every task. But the plastic "guard" meant to protect pots started to deteriorate after a year or two of use, probably from the heat of hundreds of pots of soup. We found flakes of plastic in our food and that was the end. We had to throw it away, because a replacement part (listed on the site) is not available. It's too bad, because everything else still worked like new and it feels like a waste. Now we're in the market for a replacement, and I'm reluctant to buy this again and risk the same problem down the road.

While we always strive to replenish stock as expediently as possible, there are times when there is a gap of time between when a product goes out of stock, and when we receive more stock. Great versatility but bowl is defective

Loved the features however after a while I noticed the chopper bowl leaking. Cracked along the bottom. Noted similar reviews with same problem. Tried to order replacement and not available.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A trusty tool in the kitchen

I’ve used this for more than three years and am more than satisfied on all counts. Easy to clean. If there was only another attachment for the chopper, then it would completely replace any need for a food processor.

I have been using this at least once a week since I got it more than three years ago. I love it, especially the long stem that lets me just plunge it into a saucepan of soup and make the creamiest of soups. A friend just used it and described it to her daughter. Comment: “this is a magical device!” Agree.

Breville, please make a sturdier chopping bowl

I mainly bought the immersion blender for my soups and sauces, but I thought the chopping bowl would be a nice feature to have a quick way to chop small things like garlic, jalapenos, basically soft stuff. I purchased this less than a year ago and I have used the chopping bowl literally three times and the third time, yesterday, I noticed a crack across the bottom and up the side of the bowl before I went to use it. So it cracked after using it only two times. Very disappointing considering I tend to buy Breville products for their sturdiness and quality of kitchen products. The immersion blender is wonderful. I love the fact that there are speed settings from 1-15 so I can adjust the speed. The handles is very ergonomic and it is perfect for my arthritic hand which makes it very easy and not difficult or tiring to use. Please Breville, come up with a better chopping bowl that is made of a thicker, sturdier plastic to replace this one.

Problems with the chopping bowl

I really like the immersion blender and for the most part I am very pleased with the product, however, I am on my second (maybe 3rd bowl). They appear to crack and leak on the bottom.

Broken parts

Can you let me know what type of plastic the blender lid is made of? Part of it broke off and super glue doesn’t work on it. I’d like to repair it.
I’ve also broken the chopper blade. I’m on my second one. I was surprised how delicate the part was. Seems like poor engineering on a critical part.

Great blender and whisk features

I purchased this set several months ago to replace an aging blender and immersion blender. I am very pleased with the immersion blender and the whisk, a great range or power settings and comfortable to use. The larger mixing container is a good size and handy for small batters and whipping cream or eggs. The small blending/ chopping container and blades are useless. I have tried small batch guacamole, pesto, herbs all with poor results. Not up to your standards, no stars. I would only recommend part of this product.
