I bought this immersion blender about a month ago to be able to purée food after a surgery. It’s been fantastic! Powerful, easy to use and easy to clean up. It’s replaced my blender, food processor and small mixer. Great product and seems very well made.

Poor quality chopping bowl and lid

My chopping bowl developed a large crack across the bottom after just a few uses. The plastic also does not clean well and I find after scrubbing throughly there is a sticky and strange film left of the chopping bowl, the chopping bowl lid, and the blade. It may be that the quality of the plastic is not good. It is impossible to get it clean like it was when I got it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Feels solid when using the main blade, but always feel like it is backwards, like the button is on the wrong side.
Attaching the shaft to the motor is a bit awkward because the driveshaft is not held in the center, so I'm worried it will break.
Whisk gearbox is very noisy so I don't want to use it.
No point to having so many "speeds". Hardly any difference from 1 to 9, then very fast/noisy from 10-15. Should just be Low, Medium and High.
Bell (with the blade) is too wide so doesn't fit in some containers I typically use. I think this is because they wanted to reduce suction, but it also means it doesn't blend quite as well since it doesn't pull ingredients/liquid in as much.
Food chopper is sad: when trying to chop one onion, it basically pureed what it could reach at the bottom but could not actually move the rest of the onion which I had already chopped into many pieces. It also feels very flimsy.
Overall, rather disappointed I bought it.

My original retained water inside the housing with no way to get it out. It’s a non dishwasher item but still got water inside the housing just by hand washing/rinsing. The new replacement appears to be identical to my original except for the color, so the same issue might be down the road. Other than that it works great.

I love my new control grip set! Everything is working well, my only 2 concerns are that when using the whisk, you can't use it for than one minute at a time and the lid on the chopper does not lock properly. It comes off when you left the handle up. I think this lid locking mechanism could have been designed better.

Great versatility but bowl is defective

Loved the features however after a while I noticed the chopper bowl leaking. Cracked along the bottom. Noted similar reviews with same problem. Tried to order replacement and not available.

I really like the Breville emersion blender. It is powerful and seems to be well made. The one thing that keeps it from deserving five stars is it isn’t good at circulating the contents of the pot when blending soups, etc. My previous, much less expensive blender, was much better at circulating the entire contents, producing a smoother consistency.
