The device is BUT....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first device was great, it was a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 but I had to get a replacement. They sent me a replacement that was laggy and that gets hot quick, I thought it had to do with not getting the recent update but that's not the case, it's still very laggy when I open up the camera and certain apps. My android auto stops working whenever I open up the camera app.

Deep Research or Delve into A Good Book or Movie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Galaxy Fold 7 has brought back my joy after surrendering my Note long ago. This is the ultimate personal assistant. From superb phone quality, ease of use and now, Galaxy AI as my personal assistant for deep research in everything from Theology, Technology, Political Discourse to Great recipes. I even use it to visualize room design with its outstanding image quality and the ability to generating modified pictures and images to assist others, thank you Nano Banana.
For work, I've used it to refine or create code for automation solutions. For my course work in theology, I use it to have spirited discussions pro and con on various theological premises and historical and modern scriptural perspectives. I truly appreciate how I'm able to pull in various political views from across the world on current topics. Gemini has become a great debate sparring partner.
FInally, I love the suggestions it makes when I have ingredients and no clue what to make or suggestions on how to create something new. It is also so comfortable having open and reading a great book and to be able to call up AI to gain deeper insights and understandings, or origins of the text.

A Nearly Prefect Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Fold phones are the best smartphone platform out there, and it's not even close. Being able to have an expanded view of webpages, Google Maps, and entertainment apps is a huge, life-changing improvement.
I prefer the skinnier closed form factor for one-handed use, which is more narrow than most traditional bar-style phones.
The Galaxy AI photo editing features are very useful for creating custom stickers and for fixing minor blemishes or removing flaws from your photos.
The foldable screen looks great and you don't really notice the seam unless you feel the center of the screen or you see the indent from a reflection. That said, it would be nice if they improved the tech to make it totally seamless.
Samsung's OneUI is finally better than Google's software and adds a lot of value to the user experience. The customization options are robust if you want to customize everything. These apps are very polished and useful, especially Samsung Health.
My only complaints are that the hinge is hard to protect without adding a huge case and that the cameras aren't as good as the Ultra series. I wish the punch hole camera wasn't there, and that the foldable screen either had a covered camera or no camera at all.
I would never buy another brand's foldables or smartphones. I've been extremely happy with my purchase.
