The way cell phones should be

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is probably the perfect phone for some people, but not for me.
There’s no denying that the form factor is unique and amazing. The internal display offers unmatched screen real estate and functionality compared to any other phone on the market. The Z Fold 7 runs the latest version of Android and Samsung’s One UI, packed with modern features and powerful AI capabilities.
However, in my daily use, I found that out of convenience I spend less than 10% of my time on the internal screen and over 90% on the external one. That’s where the problem lies for me. The external display, while vastly improved over previous generations, still feels cramped. The font size is small to fit all the information I’m used to seeing on a standard “bar” phone like the Galaxy S25 Ultra. As I get older, reading such small text becomes difficult. Increasing the font size helps, but it also reduces the available screen space and limits how much I can see at once.
Samsung deserves credit for making the external screen far more usable than before, and for pushing the foldable category forward in every way. Still, at the end of the day, this phone just isn’t the right fit for my needs.
There’s something for everyone, and the Z Fold 7 will be perfect for those who truly take advantage of its expansive inner display. But for someone like me who primarily uses the outer screen, a more traditional phone simply makes more sense.

This is an amazing device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The z fold 7 is an amazing piece of hardware that allows you to have a traditional smartphone and a tablet in one device. The screens are very clear and bright and the processor is super snappy. The Galaxy AI functions in the camera app alone make this a no brainer.

Fun phone but I miss my S Pen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Z Fold 7 for a couple weeks now, and honestly, it’s pretty cool. The big screen is awesome for videos and multitasking, and it feels way thinner and lighter than I expected. The fold still makes me a bit nervous long-term, but so far so good.
Galaxy AI is fun, stuff like Circle to Search and photo editing is neat, but not life-changing. Some apps still don’t work great on the big screen, and I miss the S Pen.
Battery’s decent, not amazing. Cameras are solid, and performance is super fast. Price is high, but if you’re into tech and like trying new stuff, it’s a fun phone to have. Not perfect, but I like it.

Love my foldable phone

I used Live Transcribe on my trip to Brazil, and it made it much easier to communicate with people who don't know English.
