For the last generations I have been getting folds, and I love them. Sadly, I know I am a minority on this though, but I went ahead and return it due to lacking a lot of the features I love of the Fold lineup. The inner display camera, the s-pen support, and the narrow aspect ratio on the front screen display; making the inner display more of a wide screen display rather than a square display.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am coming from a Samsung S22 Ultra 5G. I was hesitant because I really didn't want to give up my (Bluetooth) S-Pen capability since Samsung ruined the functionality and took away its fully capabilities. All the models after the S22 really doesn't offer anything "new" except for maybe a few specs slightly better. Considering that they promoted the Z Fold7 heavily this year, along with many enthusiasts providing positive reviews, it peaked my interest.
Long story short, I purchased the 1TB/16gb Fold 7 and I couldn't be happier. Still upset about the loss of the S-pen but the speed and ease of use make up for it.
Please keep in mind a few things regarding the tablet mode of this phone. There are a lot of bugs. A good portion of apps don't work with this form factor. Sometimes the inner screen freezes and apps stop working, forcing you to press the power button to lock it and reopen it. Sometimes that doesnt even help and you need to do some troubleshooting to get it to display/unfreeze. Sure, maybe I am just a one-off situation. This didnt just happen, by the way, this has been happening since day one. I hope there is some sort of bug fix or update in the future.
Other than that this phone is phenomenal. You will absolutely "wow" people who see you use it and you will find yourself enjoying doom-scrolling or even multitasking with it more than you anticipate. I 100% recommend
