This phone is awesome. I have heard that prior models start to have issues in the fold so I am hoping this has been fixed on the new model. I get a lot of comments on the phone when people see it. In full transparency, I won this phone and could have never afforded it on my own. I am very happy with it so far.

The build quality of the phone is good, but it came pre-equipped wirh a significant amount of third-party software to uninstall. Several unwanted Samsung apps cannot be uninstalled by conventional means. Unwanted AI assistance features (most priminently Writing Assist) frequently present themselves even when disabled. I'm ultimately left wishing I had instead purchased an older model that predates these issues.

Your comments about app management and feature presentation highlight the importance of customization and user control in modern smartphones. If you prefer not to use Writing assist or Chat assist, you can disable each feature or hide its icon from the keyboard. To do this, go to Settings, tap Galaxy AI, then select Writing assist or Chat assist. Select the feature to disable, such as Chat translation, and toggle the switch at the top of the screen. Repeat these steps for any other features you want to disable. Even after disabling them, the icons remain on the keyboard. To remove them, open an app with Samsung Keyboard, such as Samsung Messages, tap More options, then Add (plus icon), and Remove (minus icon) next to the feature icon. Tap Done. The fact that I can carry a fully functional slim bar type smartphone and a tablet at the same time and in the same pocket it's just flagerbasting. Love the the quickness, love the design, love how good the video looks despite the rhe 4:3 aspect ratio, it's just mesmerizing. Kudos to the design and engineering team, this time they really took it out of the stadium.

Had the flip 5 and loved it so I expanded my horizons with the z fold 7. I miss the compact flip but it died 5 days after I bought the fold so timing was good. This is a good phone, 1 month in but looking forward to a "flip/fold" combo in the future.
