Got the phone late September. By mid October the large screen turns dark with streaks of light. Been a loyal Samsung customer for over a decade now. Tv, washing machine/dryer, smartphones, kitchen range, fridge, etc. Never been so disappointed.

Love this phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this phone, its an upgrade from the Z Fold 4. I love the Samsung phones and tablets. I Haven't done much with the Galaxy AI yet though. I would definitely recommend the Z Fold 7.

The Samsung Fold 7 is an AMAZING phone! I have been looking at the Fold for the past 2 years, but didn't pull the trigger due to the extra weight and thickness compared to normal phones (I have been using the Flip and loved it's size and flexibility). However, this year the Fold 7 really took a huge leap forward with this super slim and lightweight design! I have been using the phone for a few weeks straight and absolutely love it!
Some improvements I would love to see for the Fold8:
1. Longer battery life - right now I am only getting ~% hours of a large screen time and I need to top up the battery at least once per day. Please consider using silicon-carbon batteries like the the Chinese manufacturers!
2. Fixing the camera bump - can you make it more like the Pixel Fold 10 where its horizontally laid out vs. vertical? The vertical messes up the balance and the Qi2 magnets!
3. Qi2 out of the box - I ended up getting a case with Qi2 which kind of works, but the camera actually makes the magnets misaligned and awkward. Please make it Qi2 compatible straight out of the box!
4. IP68 - this is probably my lowest ask. I would fix the first 3 first.

An upgraded foldable experience

Both screens are gorgeous, with vibrant colors that make everything pop. Performance is buttery smooth with no stutters, and Galaxy AI’s interpreter is already proving to be a game‑changer. I can’t wait to use it on my next trip abroad.
The camera may not be for pixel peepers, but for everyday shots it’s excellent—I haven’t been disappointed once. Overall, this phone delivers on design, speed, display, AI, and camera. Easily a 5‑star device.
