I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 for about a month now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most innovative phones I've ever owned.
The foldable design is not just a gimmick it truly changes how you use your phone.
When unfolded, the screen feels like a
small tablet, making it incredibly easy to read, watch videos, multitask, and see everything clearly without straining your eyes.
The folding mechanism has been working flawlessly for me.
No cracks, no issues—just smooth performance and solid build quality. Samsung really delivered on durability this time around.
What also surprised me is how thin and lightweight the Z Fold 7 is compared to my previous phone. Even with the larger screen, it’s much easier to carry and doesn't feel bulky at all.

I love the new slim and light profile but ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thoroughly impressed with the new slim and light weight profile of the Samsung fold. The seamless design is truly a testament to Samsung's engineering prowess. The solid build feels incredibly sturdy and reliable. The Galaxy AI capabilities have improved significantly! I thoroughly used the AI writing assist feature to proofread and sometimes generate new content with the generative edit feature. I also love the Galaxy AI interpreter feature. One complaint is the 500 character limit in the Galaxy AI grammar and spell check feature.
There were a few deal breakers for me: 1) battery would rapidly deplete, 2) it runs warm/hot, and 3) the power button is easy to miss. Despite this, I will eagerly await Samsung's next round of Galaxy devices. I am confident they will work out these kinks.

Camera lens is obnoxiously large compared to how thin the phone is. but the biggest issue i have i how AI is forced as a selling point. I don't want AI and see no reason why i have to be charged more for a feature i didn't ask for or want.

A Huge Improvement And A Letdown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The increased screen size for the outer and inner screens is very welcome. The improved camera on the Fold 7; increased to 200 MP is absolutely incredible. It is impressive how thin this Fold is in comparison to the previous generations of the Fold. But these phones continue to be made thinner and thinner at the expense of more important features. At first we lost the 3.5mm headphone jack and most recently we lost the use of the invaluable S-Pen. The S-Pen is one of the things that makes this device worth having and using. Having to use this incredible phone without the S-Pen it doesn't feel right at all. I love how Galaxy AI can be used for creating and altering images. But you need the S-Pen in order to be precise with your drawings and alterations.
