Setting it up was straightforward; within a couple of hours, I had customized virtual boundaries using the My PetSafe app. The real-time GPS tracking is impressively accurate, thanks to the AccuGuard technology, which combines GPS data, motion detection, and AI. I can monitor my dog’s location and receive instant alerts if he approaches or crosses the set boundaries. The collar offers various correction modes, including tone, vibration, and static, allowing me to tailor it to my dog’s training needs. The battery life is reliable, lasting up to 72 hours on a single charge, and the collar is waterproof, which is great for our outdoor adventures. While the system requires a subscription for full functionality, the peace of mind it provides is well worth it. From the moment I put it on my dog, I could tell it was designed with comfort and durability in mind. The fit is adjustable and secure without being too tight, and the materials feel sturdy but lightweight—my pup hardly notices it’s there.
What really impressed me was the thoughtful design. The collar is easy to clean, doesn’t irritate my dog’s skin, and the buckle is both strong and easy to use. Doggie freedom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar has been a game changer for our family. We recently moved into a new house without a fence and it was so easy to set up! The battery life is impressive. You can easily adjust the range or change it within the app. The app makes it so easy to use. The installation took minutes. It’s far superior to the old version where had to dip and burry the lines. We have a beagle and we did have to switch to the larger prongs. He kept running through the fence on the shorter setting.

Good but middle of the road

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the PetSafe Guardian GPS 2.0 fence and tracking system for a free review, and I've really assessed it.
Its wireless setup is a major plus, letting you create a virtual fence via an app without digging. The tracking feature is great, especially with a large dog who can cover ground fast. PetSafe also claims improved accuracy, and the collar seems comfortable for bigger breeds.
However, like all GPS systems, it has limitations. Signal consistency can be an issue in wooded area, I’ve noticed. We back on to some woods, and I lost my girl for a minute. There's also a slight delay in correction; a fast, motivated 75-pound dog might cross the boundary before the correction hits. You also need to consistently charge it. For a highly driven large dog, it might work best as a supplementary containment option rather than the only solution.

Great at keeping dog contained

The setup was easy with detailed and easy to understand instructions. The tracker is very accurate in pin pointing my dog so I never have to wonder where he is anymore!

Nice features, realistic for non fenced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit skeptical about GPS-based dog fences at first, but the PetSafe Guardian GPS 2.0 completely changed my mind. Setup was straightforward thanks to the clear instructions included in the box. The waterproof collar fits securely and comfortably on my pup (a 40 lb retriever mix), and I love that I can use the app on both Android and iPhone to track his location and customize the boundaries.
🛰️ Accuracy: The GPS signal is surprisingly reliable, especially in open areas. It took a bit of trial and error to fine-tune the boundary, but once dialed in, it’s been consistent.
🐾 Peace of Mind: The tracking feature alone is worth it. I no longer worry about my dog wandering off when we’re camping or visiting open properties.
🔋 Battery Life: Decent for a GPS unit. I get about 2 days per charge, and it comes with both long and short charging cords, which is a nice touch.
📱 App Functionality: The app is intuitive, though it does occasionally lag when syncing boundary updates. A future update could help smooth that out.

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: I wish the range was a bit more flexible for tighter urban yards, and the price point is on the higher end. But if you want reliable off-leash safety without digging wires, this is a fantastic solution.

Yes – especially for dog owners who enjoy traveling, hiking, or have large unfenced yards. Total game-changer for our family.
