Worked great for a couple of months…now it’s trash

This collar worked great at first. But then some kind of update was pushed out and now the GPS is wildly inaccurate and laggy, I don’t get notifications on my phone that the dog has left the yard, and she gets shocked when she’s well within the boundaries.
I am extremely disappointed - unreliable and a total waste of money

Very Disapointed

I was never able to get past the test the fence phase. The GPS was too inaccurate. We have about an acre fully cleared and then woods. In the clear area, the collar was at times over 50 feet from where the GPS thought it was. It thought the collar was outside of the "fence" even when I was standing 20-30 feet inside of it.
Also, I think I have a collar not working correctly in other ways. It wouldn't beep during the test phase, even when the GPS thought the collar was right at the barrier. Even if it did beep and respond correctly, the GPS is so inaccurate, it wouldn't work for us anyway.
Now I have to pay to ship it back to get my refund.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to Setup & Peace of Mind

I bought my GPS 2.0 a month ago for my small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who only weighs 20 lbs. This is the first collar on the market that fits his small neck! Setup was a breeze. It was super easy to draw my own fence to match the twists & turns of my yard and edit as needed. My dog learned the fence boundaries within a day, but I appreciated that the one time he stepped outside the boundary, I got an alert & could track his location live to get him home safely.
I also love that I can draw multiple fences so when we visit my parents, he has his fence boundaries ready to go!
I work for PetSafe Brands, but did not work on this product and do not work on this business. I'm reviewing because I'm a thrilled pet parent who wants to help others find the ease and peace of mind this collar brings for dogs who want to roam in spaces where you don't have a physical fence. I did not receive an incentive for this review.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Electric fence at home and on the go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was finally able to confidently let my dog off leash at the beach! Set the boundary to an area and my dog stayed in the boundary and had such a blast! Highly recommend this collar!

The PetSafe Guardian GPS 2.0

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to try the PetSafe guardian GPS 2.0 dog fence for my Shihtzu Pomeranian dog. I set up the electronic dog fence with ease using the app installed on my phone. My dog didn’t even seem to mind the collar. It seems quite accurate in its gps capabilities and its battery life seems to be great as well. It’s built to last and seems very durable in its production. I would recommend to those with dogs who are looking for a gps tracker/ fence for their dogs. I can’t wait to continue to use this! Thanks for allowing us to try it out! PetSafe seems to make high quality products that last!

Pretty cool device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little tool works well. It fits like any other collar, but needs charging of course. Appears to be accurate from preliminary tests performed and does well in setting up the geofence. Training the dog to obey the hints it drops to not leave the permitter is a bit of a challenge.
Now the thing that I dislike about this is the subscription. Yes everyone wants to make money but you want to price this thing high and then charge me to use it? Eh not my ideal tool. But great for taking the dog places you’ve never been and letting off leash. Fairly flexible

So far so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the PetSafe GPS 2.0 for just one day, but my first impression is very positive! Setup was fairly easy, and the app is user-friendly. I was able to track my pet’s location in real-time, which gave me peace of mind—especially since we have a large yard and curious dog.
The collar fits well and doesn’t seem to bother my pet, which is a big plus. Battery life seems solid so far, and I like the alerts and customizable safe zones.
Of course, it’s still early, so I’ll be watching for consistency and durability over the next few weeks. But for now, it’s doing exactly what I hoped.
