Good collar if you want to spend the money and go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar was so easy to set up and take out of the box and charge. It took probably about 15 min to update the software and work with the app. However set up on the app was easy. It was just follow the prompts. Now it does require a monthly subscription and I am sure it will work great with that but for now it is more than I want to spend. I am also getting my dog used to it so I still put him on the leash in the yard as he is bad and will run away and I am afraid the collar will not stop him. I will try to update once I get him fully off the leash. But for someone who wants to spend the money on the subscription and train their dog I would definitely recommend.

Was unable to get it to function properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’d truly hoped this product was going to be the solution to my fence-free problems. I have two dogs, but fencing my yard would be incredibly difficult as most of the space is in the front and there are many hedges and trees. I’d priced out an electric dog fence but wasn’t wild about needing to cut through the driveway as it must make a complete circle.
This option appeared to be perfect - I could set a fence within my yard as well as others when visiting family.
Unfortunately, setting boundaries in my yard is incredibly difficult on account of the tree coverage. I tried looking at the property line on the other view but that was inaccurate. I attempted to test the boundaries but it would sound when I was within the boundary and would occasionally avoid sounding when I walked outside of the defined boundary. My inability to understand where the lines are has made it impossible to train the dogs as I can’t put visual markers down and I don’t trust that the fence I’ve created will keep them in my yard. It would be so much easier if I could create a boundary by walking the line while holding the collar as the app, while responsive, does not seem to be accurate.
I will try again once the leaves fall and it’s easier to see the property. I have failed miserably using the other view as the fence doesn’t seem to be functioning reliably despite following the instructions with regard to distance between points and making a complete circle. I cannot trust it to contain my dogs at this time.

My dog didn't like it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wasn't aware what the dog fence and tracking entailed and I also didn't realize that a subscription was required to use the services. I like that the collar itself isn't too big and bulky. While it did work, my dog was not a fan. He would look away or walk away anytime I would try to put it back on him. So I guess you could say it worked too well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on one of my French bulldogs bc she always bolts out the front door where there’s no fence keeping her from running to the road. I first tried this in the backyard, just in case, and it seemed to work great. So then I set the size of our front yard, and stopped her right at the boundary. Worked perfectly and so easy to use on your phone asl well. Of course she hates wearing the collar, so I’m hoping this will teach her to mot just run out the door

The battery lasts so long so that’s a plus. And the fact that I could do tracking if my dog got out is such a relief.

It works but there are improvements to be made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I was super excited to receive this product; I have a retriever mix who is very sweet but occasionally decides to do dumb things, like chase deer through the trees that surround our house. I was hopeful this product would be able to curb that behavior.
During the initial setup, you use the app to draw a perimeter around your property. Then they ask you to walk with the collar in your hand to test it. It took some tweaking to get this right, as I realized the line needed to be set further out than I initially thought. As you approach the "fence," the collar will begin vibrating.
In practice, I had a couple issues with this: I was outside with my dog when he approached the fence line that runs parallel to the driveway. He triggered the alarm and panicked, but decided to run along the driveway to get back to the house. By doing so, it kept giving him the correction mode when normally the driveway doesn't trigger it. I think if he ran perpendicular to the fence, it probably would have stopped immediately, but he has no way of knowing that and he was in such a panic, he wasn't listening to my commands.
My third issue: because this uses GPS, there is a slight delay in timing. While watching the app to see his movements, it reads several seconds behind, which, for a dog who is chasing deer full-speed, can mean a huge difference in position. It also wasn't super accurate. Even while charging, the app shows the collar position jumping around outside the home!
My third issue was simply a lack of multi functionality. I like to keep a shock collar on my dog to correct behavior as needed. This collar does not have any way to correct behavior on demand. There is no remote or other functions available.
Overall, does it do what it's supposed to? Yes. Would I prefer this product over a simple shock collar which is so much cheaper and versatile and just as effective? No. I've already taken this back off my dog and put his other collar back on him. It just needs more tweaking before I can say this is a great fit for us.

It is crucial to mention that while going through training, we do recommend dogs be on a leash attached to a harness or separate collar. Part of the reason for this is that your dog is learning how to react at the boundary, and you can use the leash to redirect them away from the boundary and help them understand how to behave when they hear the warning tone/feel the collar activate. We're so sorry for any confusion.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the collar can be placed in Lost Dog Mode for moments when you need the app to check your dog's location more frequently, such as if they had actively left the fence and were chasing a deer.
In case this information is helpful, though this collar does not have remote trainer features, it is able to function as a fence in ways a remote trainer cannot. Teaching boundaries with a remote trainer is typically not recommended, as the remote would have to be in your hand at each moment your dog approaches the boundary, and you would have to be prepared at every moment to activate the collar at just the right time, etc. For this reason, we typically recommend switching collars as needed to have containment collars for fencing solutions, and remote trainer collars for training. As with any correction collar, the maximum combined hours of wear per day would still be no more than 8-12 hours.

Must have for husky owners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar is incredible, it does not have any bulky units and gives you real time data on your pet! Setting the fence was incredibly easy and it just a matter of placing pegs on a mobile map. As a husky owner who is a professional escape artist l appreciate the second line of defense that allows for real time gps tracking. Thankfully we’ve not had to use this thanks to the wireless fencing system. Battery lasts all day!
