An air conditioner with nice features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Frigidaire 14,000 BTU is a really nice air conditioner. It's a beast coming out of the box it's pretty deep, but it still fits into a standard window. Because it's inverter technology, it runs quieter and saves more energy than standard window air conditioners. This covers a 700 sq ft room.
There are several features I like about this unit. For one, there's an app to control to the device, and it connects to Alexa (which I have) and Google Assistant. That allows me to remotely control it, like cooling off a room before I get home. The front facing controls are simple and straightforward. I also like that there is an optional PureAir Filter which in addition to the usual dust filter, helps filter out allergens and freshens the air by capturing airborne particles.
I am very happy with this air conditioner. For a window air conditioner, it is noticeable quieter than previous units I've had, and that's a big deal. I would definitely recommend this AC for anyone looking to quietly and efficiently cool a medium sized room.

Arrive to a cool space is just much better than wa

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have one and a half floor house and the attic office is no longer warmer than the rest of the house because we placed the Frigidaire FHWW145WEI on a window. The Frigidaire brings 14000 BTU of cooling power and the entire space cools down well and fast.
During the sunny summer days the house would get cool except for the attic area so now what we do is turn on the AC using the application and turn it to the desired temperature, so when we arrive and go to the office, it is comfortable, we no longer have to wait for it to cool down.
The AC comes with well written instructions, hardware to install it on the window and lastly it’s remote. The installation was easy to do, just know that it is not that heavy but it is bulky so it is easier to install with someone else help.
Once installed, the setup is easy; it can be controlled using its panel which is straight forward, on / off, mode, temperature, fan, echo and timer so it can turn off when we want. The second way to control it is with its remote that looks nice and clean, it has power, fan, sleep and up / down temperature.
Finally the application is the way we mostly use to control the AC, it is easy to setup and also easy to use and best of all we can control it from far away.
Something else to like is that it works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home so it is easy to manage while connected to either.
I really like how quiet it is, it is perhaps the most quiet window AC I’ve heard.
The easy to clean washable dust filter is great, as soon as it gets dirty, it can be washed dried and right back to work.

Overall the window AC is easy to setup and use, the remote control can be nearby to be able to control right away and if we are not near the room we can control the AC from our phone and it is very convenient. The one thing I would have enjoyed is a wire mesh or some kind of protection for the back so the fins do not get bent easily when putting it away during the winter months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit because we do not have central A/C in our 3-story, nearly 5,000 sq. ft. home. We have lived here for three summers, and we needed something to keep it cooler during the hottest months of summer. The house has a swamp cooler, but it does not keep the house cool enough when the temperatures peak in July-August. We especially have issues with the second floor where the bedrooms are—we have many west facing windows so it gets very warm in the afternoon/evening. We do not have ducts to install A/C (we have a boiler and radiant floor heat), so it would be a huge and expensive ordeal to tear apart the house, put in ducts, and central A/C. I have tried opening the windows at night to cool the house down, but my son has allergies so that causes problems. I have also gotten quotes for a A/C mini split system, but it is very costly and would be unsightly to have the units on the walls in various rooms. I have also tried using portable evaporative coolers in our most used areas of the house, but they do not cover enough square footage. It’s also a pain to constantly fill them with cold water and ice. I chose this unit in hopes it would cool down the second story and make the house more comfortable without a costly solution.
I received the unit in February-- it’s still cold here in Colorado, but I unboxed it and tested it out. Unboxing the unit was simple. It was well packaged and included parts and instructions for installation. It’s heavy, but that tells me it’s made with quality parts.
I turned on the unit and VOILA—cold air started coming out within a few seconds! I initially set it to a temperature close to our home temp. It was quiet, similar to the volume of a sound machine. When I turned the temperature way down, it got louder (see video). Assuming the house stays at a fairly constant temperature and it’s not working overtime, it should operate at a quiet hum.
I love that the unit has an app for connectivity. This will enable me to save energy while we’re gone, but cool the house down before we get home. I plan to have my handy man install the unit in May so we’re ready for summer!

Fantastic AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Fidgidaire 14,000 BTU AC unit to replace an aging unit. First thing I noticed that in quiet mode, it still pumps out cold air, but significantly quieter than my old unit. This Frigidaire unit on high, blows the old one out of the water on cooling. The App is pretty easy to use, and syncs the unit to my WIFI and lets me setup the interface. I am able to turn this unit on when leaving work, and come home to a cool room. Very impressed with this units efficiency, it is a larger unit than my old one, but uses about the same power, but gets colder faster. Also like many units, it does have the GFCI plug built in to protect the unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works Quietly and Fast

The remote response is the best I've seen so far in that I don't have to continually point at the unit and repeatedly press the buttons. The app is easy to navigate and overall it's a quality product.

Top of the line without a doubt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frigidaire FHWW145WE1 has been great to our small office. I used to think all Window AC were the same but they are not. We had an older model that was good but this one excels in every way possible. I had to make sure it fit in the space and it measures what it shows on the description. It arrived fast and well and I was able to slide it right in and the setup was very easy. I really like how easy it is to control the AC, either with the panel right in front, and in our case the remote is much useful and finally the application. We can turn the unit on or off on our way so the office is cool and since it is small it does not need another one.
And one of the benefits of having 14000 BTU is that it is powerful, it cools fast.
There are other settings to consider, fan and dry and these can be great to have fresh air in the office.
I do like how easy it is to take off the filter and wash it. And I also like that it has an eco-mode and lastly it has a timer, so it can turn off by itself.
Overall, the Frigidaire window AC is very useful, powerful, and best of all it can be controlled from the panel or as far as the other side of the world thru the application.

Why didn’t I buy this sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already have central AC in our house but our master bedroom is covered in windows and huge with only one vent. At the end of a hot day our room would be 85-90 degrees. We tried everything to keep it cool but nothing seemed to help much, I finally had enough and purchased this window unit and I am so glad! It was easy to install and is quiet, I like that I can use the app to set it up exactly how I want. It works great for our large master, which is 750 sq ft. Bring on the heat!
