This thing is cool (literally)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best window unit ever owned. It's quiet. You barely know it's running. The controls are blended into the front panel so it has a sleek futuristic look. The moving louvers distribute air quite well across the room. It works seamlessly with my Google home voice commands. The proprietary app is pretty cool too You can control and monitor every aspect of the unit from afar. It fits in the window nicely The curtains talking behind it super quiet comes with a bracket so you don't have to worry about dropping the sucker out while you're installing it. I'm very happy.

Directional air flow slats are ineffective..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't install the unit in a side window, use a central window for more effective cooling. The upper vent is stronger, and forces the majority of the air more forward. I discovered low profile units are very anchored into the window for stronger support. They do not have a slide out chassis for easy maintenance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the Frigidaire version of the Midea u shape is much better. I got it because of the mold issues on my 8000btu Midea. Only few things I wish I could do is. Turn the lights on the display completely off. Keep settings locked so when I turn it off and on it remembers last setting. And I wish the pure air filter also covered the front bottom vents but we’ll see how the dust screen helps I guess. It was great that I could us the bracket from the Midea I had previously installed. Was a bit pricey compared to the Midea but if it lasts longer I’d rather that then have to replace the Midea every 3 years
