Perfect for hot summers and cold winters

Powerful Cooling, Smart Features – Worthwhile Buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TCL portable AC has saved me this summer! It cools my bedroom fast, and the heating function is surprisingly good too. Love the smart features – controlling it from my phone or with Alexa is so convenient. Setup was easy, but it is a bit heavy. It can get a little noisy on the highest setting, but overall, it's a great investment for year-round comfort.

Good Performance

I bought this AC unit just before the heat wave hit the NE. The air conditioner itself performs beautifully, the price was reasonable and delivery was prompt and without incident. It has been running continuously for days, after it initially popped the breaker a couple times. I didn't realize which circuits were connected until they overloaded. However, I gave 4 stars because of the design of the exhaust tube and window adapter plate. My window sill is too deep for the exhaust tube reducer - or the reducer tapers open too wide, too soon and won't allow the plate to easily rest between the sill and the window. The interference isn't a lot, but enough to cause stress to where the reducer keeps popping out of the plate or the plate keeps working itself out of the window. I finally used gorilla tape to keep it all together and keep the plate in the window. I just don't want to deal with the stickiness of old tape when I take it all apart. also, if the weather cools enough before the season is over, I can't simply pull it out of the window. To me, a better solution would be to have a wider plate so that the tube reducer can fit more easily in windows with deeper sills. Even an additional 2" for the plate height would be an improvement.
