[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My other Frigidaire air conditioner is a 12000 BTU unit and is much quieter then this one. It cools just fine but sounds like there are marbles rattling around inside.

And Rew, I am pleased to hear that your room air conditioner is cooling the room well. It is normal to hear ‘high pitch chatter’ a sound of rushing air, gurgle/hiss, pinging or swishing and vibration. These are all normal. For more information of normal sounds during operation, please refer to page 4 in the Owner’s Manual for your model. Verify that the original installation procedures have been followed properly. Pay special attention to any gaskets. If improperly installed, even a high quality, low-noise unit can rattle mercilessly. If you have any further questions, reconnect with us directly for assistance. Cordially, Ruth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have COPD and high tempertures and humidity make it hard to breath, especially at night. This AC was a godsend. It accurately controlled the temperature it was set for.. It is a great AC. It fit the window perfectly with insulated side panels. What more can I say.
Have for 3 monts and the noisiest a/c I've ever had. Even on low it seems to be blowing fast and l clanking.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, No4me. I recommend checking your Owner's Manual (page 4) to make sure that the sounds that you're hearing are not part of the A/C's normal operation. The manual can also be located on our website at ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Edison/16120300a04629en.pdf. I hope this information is helpful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought oiur Frigidaire AC a few months ago and we love it. Easy to put in and very easy to use. Keeps our bedroom cool and comfortable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to cool off my back room because my central air does not really reach back here. I should have done this 10 years ago. Cools 20x15 room and central air not running as much! I didn't really like Econ setting because didn't seem to keep room as cool. I do use sleep feature though. No complaints and finally cool!
not as powerful as my old AC- shuts off on economy and room still feels hot.

Hey upward, I regret that you are disappointed in the cooling performance of your room air conditioner. Your appliance is rated to cool an area 250 square feet or smaller. Is the area to be cooled larger than that? When in economy mode the fan will continue to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. If you have any questions, please contact us directly for assistance. Cordially, Ruth
I bought this a month or so ago for a small bedroom 200-300 sq ft. It does a decent job of keeping the room cool. It makes a fair bit of noise.

Jfherbe, I am glad to hear that your room air conditioner is keeping you cool. Your air conditioner is designed for a room up to 250 square feet, so it would be just the right size for your bedroom. Page 4 of the Owner’s Manual for your model, goes over the normal sounds you will hear. If you have any further questions, please reach out directly. Cordially, Ruth
