Unfortunate sounds, but cool air

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the reasons we got rid of our last bedroom AC (an earlier frigidaire) was the disturbing rattling sounds that the filter made when the AC was running -- that didn't make for a peaceful sleeping experience. (I chose this one because it seemed similar to the excellent 8000 btu version we've had in the kitchen/living room.) But from day one it's been making unfortunate noises as well. It sounds like water swishing around inside -- something I've never heard in an AC. Not as disturbing as the rattling, but unfortunate just the same.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a second one of these FFRE0633S1 window-mount A/C units after using the exact same model for about a year in an outdoor dog house we built to keep our pups cool. Both units are working excellent, I use them primarily in the summer her in Norcal where it's between 80 and 115 each day, and they work perfectly for a single room, such as a bedroom where we have one installed. During the winter I just turn them off and I have had no problems with turning them back on months later. They use practically no electricity, I don't even notice their use on my monthly bill. Remote is a plus.

Noisy and rattles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always used Frigidaire and have one in our bedroom and had to replace our unit in the living room which we had to replace because one day it just didn't get cold anymore & just blew out air as if on fan mode. We read the reviews it was noisy but the older model wasn't available so we had to order this new model. It works just the same as the old one but it rattles and very loudly so we constantly have to adjust the vent but it's only a temporary fix. It's quite annoying. I love Frigidaire but not this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the worst

Bought two of these for a one bedroom new york apartment....
its super loud, and with all that noise , not much, cool air coming out. its still spring in new york, so it hasn't gotten really hot. I had both AC units on all day today , at the lowest setting tempeture, and the room tempeture is still 74F. energy saving system doesn't work at all,the unit shut off when its set , lets say to 66F, but room tempeture never dropped lower that 74..... our previous units that were 5000 BTU, had more cooling power that this!!!!!! very disappointed
save your self she time and go with something different....

To make sure your air conditioner is working as designed, you want to make sure that the air conditioners are the correct size for your room. If the air conditioner is too large for the room, it may not cool efficiently. I hope this helps.
