makes a horrible noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooling is great for 6000 BTUs but it makes a terrible noise almost like a sizzling sound. Hoping it can be fixed. If it can I would recommend this product because a great value.

Really does the job

Only complaint is that it can be noisy when it is very hot/humid out. Not a deal breaker. Eventually read why and found it interesting - but would have been nice to know up front.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two 18,500 BTU and one 11,000 BTU units that are also heating. I keep them the same because I like all the features such Energy Efficient Mode, on & off timers, digital thermostat, etc. and all my control panels are similar. In the Energy Efficient Mode the larger the unit, the better it works. None of them work as well in that mode as the normal cooling! This one is the least helpful, but I've got it in a small kitchen that is only about 70 sq. feet. I'm very happy with all 4 that I own. It's just that bigger is better, but cost more and may not be worth it in certain area. Just remember, their 'ain't no Santa Clause"!

Does Alright

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is alright. The fan on it doesn't blow as fast / high as I'd like it to even though the fan is on high it doesn't feel like it. I love the fact the temperature on it can go down to 60. I work third shift so I sleep during the day so it's important to have my bedroom cool.
I find this unit shuts off frequently when on economy. I wish this unit would keep running to maintain the cool air but it does shut off or when on cool the unit will shut off the A/C portion and the fan will just run on it. As mentioned above the fan is not that powerful and I wish it would blow faster. This would be my personal preference.
I also would love to find an A/C unit that goes below 60. I love my bedroom really cold when I sleep. The 60 degrees on this doesn't really feel it but it does an alright job at keeping my bedroom cool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very quiet, clean-looking, and easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two of these room air conditioners for kids' rooms. We have older windows and every a/c we'd had before rattled and was SOOOO noisy. Not these! They are quiet and look great. Would recommend to anyone.

Great AC overall

Great AC. Not really suitable for 250 ft room, which is not a problem for me, as my room is smaller.
Also the Econ option is strange, it satrt ans stops every 30 seconds.

Excellent Air conditioner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the older version of this air conditioner and liked it. The newer one is even better. The clean air feature in the insulated side curtains are a added feature. It is a little quieter but not much quieter than the older version. It seems to have real good qualities and is worth a try. I am not disappointed with getting the new version of this great product.
