Nice Cold Air!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a workshop that is isolated from prevailing winds and difficult to cool. The window opened to the side, so I cut a hole in the building and using the instructions and dimensions easily mounted it into the wall.

Research Paid Off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased right as my old unit started dying and did searches and comparisons. Have a similar model in another room which works very well. Slightly damaged during delivery but minor and rather than return and burn up I fixed the issue and it runs great. Remote works well and uses 2xAAA included batteries. Easy setup and operation with a lot of nice features. Some unexpected that I overlooked when ordering like the clean air, and sleep settings.

Works perfectly, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit works great except it has one drainage hole that’s in an odd spot. I had it tipped back a few degree just like any other AC, but it wouldn’t drain completely and the fan would make a loud and annoying noise when it would hit the water that had pooled up in the back of the unit. So I pulled the unit out and drilled a couple extra holes along the bottom so it would actually drain. After that, no problems!

Better than my last two units

The first one lasted two years and the second 14 months, both after the warranty ended and estimates on repairs was more than I paid for them. Both were a competitor brand. Hopefully this one lasts longer. But I do have to say this one works better so far than the other tow units did. Better features and it hold the temperature better.

Love this quiet too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Dad has a similar one. I wanted one with the clean air ionizer. Hoping it helps in NYC pollution. Haven't used much. Also hoping that plastic insides mean less rust. Air Conditioner above is a fossil that leaks profusely, continuously, causing rust and I imagine mold. It's slightly smaller than they say I need, 6 instead of 8 BTU but my ceilings are low. My Dad's cools way more space than recommended. I wish the vents were wider so I can clean more often easily until I actually clean it end of season. So far I love this thing, not usually what I say about air conditioners. Also it's so so so quiet. I wasn't expecting that at all. I'm accustomed to loud stuff and was fully prepared for that kind of thing. What a pleasant surprise . Cant' hear a thing.

Solid, dependable unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have two of these air conditioners. Bought one two years ago and when we had to replace another a/c unit we bought a second one. I'd give this a 4 1/2 stars. It cools quickly, is relatively not annoyingly noisy, the filter is easy to clean, the remote is well designed and the unit is a breeze to install. This is also one of the only 6000 btu units I saw that allows you to change the air flow up and down as well as left and right. My only complaint is that the outside vents on the top of the unit are quite large which allow all sorts of matter to drop in. Otherwise we're extremely pleased with it.
