Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great AC. Out of the box there was some damage to the box and when I opened a large section of the cooling fins were crushed / bent over. I did check and no freon leak. Installation was easy and after one week of use I had no issues with it. I needed the AC and didn't want to wait for an exchange so I just kept it. I bent as many straight to allow air flow between the fins and it's been fine, just looks bad on the outside but my office stays cool and that's what mattered. I like it's energy saving features better than others and it turns on the fan occasionally to get an accurate temp of the room. My others don't do that so sometimes they never turn on even though the room is 80 they say it's 72, probably reading some outside air temp so it doesn't turn on. This one works great but one star off for the damage and poor packaging.

Decent, very noisy at lower fan speeds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as cooling is concerned, this unit does a decent job keeping a fairly large bedroom cool. It also wasn't hard to install, and isn't particularly bothersome -- although by no means quiet -- when the fan is running at full speed. At lower fan speeds, the unit or the motor and fan vibrate erratically and annoyingly. I haven't decided whether I should open it up at the end of summer and try to lubricate something.

Bought it just in time!!

This is the second Frigidaire air conditioner (the other unit is 12000 BTU) and both are doing a great job keeping us comfortable.

Good Features - but defective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to return it because the fan is making a puttering noise. It works but is noisy. Since we are having a heat wave here, I am waiting for it to break before I follow the return instructions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
