Works well except for high pitched beep.

The unit works well keeping the room cool however I would not buy it again because of the high pitched beep that it makes every time you touch any of the buttons and there is no way to fix without voiding the warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Takes forever to cool off my bedroom. I have to keep the thermostat at minimum 68 degrees

Loved this unit!

Bought it 2.5 months ago and have been running it nonstop since. It has been working great and has reduced the (300 sq ft.) room temp from 95 to 70 degrees without fail. Purchased to use as a secondary unit for the 2nd floor of my home when the main a/c unit failed. We've been faced with 100 degree North Carolina heat this summer and this thing is a trooper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small but powerful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this air conditioner over the summer in the painful NYC heat. It has been such a life saver and runs very well. Cools down the room pretty quickly and I love that it has a remote as well. Well worth the price!

Cheap and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a second one of these FFRE0633S1 window-mount A/C units after using the exact same model for about a year in an outdoor dog house we built to keep our pups cool. Both units are working excellent, I use them primarily in the summer her in Norcal where it's between 80 and 115 each day, and they work perfectly for a single room, such as a bedroom where we have one installed. During the winter I just turn them off and I have had no problems with turning them back on months later. They use practically no electricity, I don't even notice their use on my monthly bill. Remote is a plus.
